Hi,
Can someone who took the digital LSAT tell me how long it took for you to be in and out of the testing center?
Thank you!
Hi,

@ Wow thank you so much for the detailed reply! I haven't found a pattern on the passages I struggle the most with. Sometimes I understand science passages really well but sometimes I won't. I'm hoping to have a difference answer once I get in the grind of taking more practice tests. I also took note of your book recommendations-- will check them out!
@ Thank you much for the recommendations and advice!!
Hello~
RC is currently my biggest struggle and I want to incorporate possible non-LSAT related ways to improve my reading comprehension skills. Maybe some books or podcasts? I am open to all recommendations!
Also if anyone has any tips on how to improve RC, I would really appreciate your feedback! What I do currently is pause after every paragraph to summarize what I just read + pause at end of whole passage before questions to put together the structure of the passage. Hence, I do well on broad questions but I struggle with questions that require memory of detail.
Oh also (sorry it's getting a wee long) I used to get significantly more questions right when I solved the RC problem sets from the CC compared to when I take full practice tests. I am hoping it's because I am not familiar with the mental stamina required to take the full length tests. But if anyone has had a similar experience, please let me know what steps you took from that point!
Thank you in advance!!
same boat!! would love to connect
Hello all,
I'm currently studying to take the February exam and I have a goal of about 170-172 in mind.
I recently started taking timed practice tests and my average score is around 164-165. When I take practice tests untimed, I score around 168-170. I find myself going over the 35 minutes in reading comprehension and occasionally in logical reasoning.
I have about 1.5 months left of studying and I'm open to trying new techniques to improve my score! If you don't mind sharing your ways with me, I would really really appreciate it!
Thank you~
@ Hey there~ I'd love to help!
I'm not sure if you are someone who reads a lot outside of the LSAT context but I definitely think reading dense non-LSAT material helped me train my brain. I studied economics in college so I whipped out old research papers and started reading them during my free time. Per paragraph, I summarized the findings into short phrases and said them out-loud to myself before moving on.
I also started reading more news articles from my phone to get used to reading on an electronic device.
I think incorporating these small habits into my non-LSAT daily routine helped a lot!
As for my actual RC review process: After every PT (as a Blind Review method), I would re-read the passage and write out explanations for EVERY SINGLE question. A lot of times, I found myself missing questions because I wasn't actively connecting the answer choices back to the passage; I would just choose an answer that sounded decently right and move on. Hence, writing everything out forced myself into getting into the habit of actively thinking through every component.
I did this for about 2 RC sections (so ~8 passages) a day, every day for about a week, and my score jumped! I went from averaging -7/-8 to -2.
Improving RC can be super tedious especially if you're not used to reading dense passages but don't give up! As you're reviewing each passage, keep a positive mindset-- tell yourself that you're learning something new in the process and that the passages are interesting.. HAHA!
I hope this helps and if you wanna chat more, just PM me. Good luck!!!
Thank you for opening this~
I'm registered for the Feb 22 exam so I am trying to be at max. efficiency level with my studying LOOL.
I was struggling with RC for the longest time but after EXTENSIVE review I think it's finally clicking with me.
My score per PT now depends on how I do on GAMES. I really want to get to that -0 / -2 (max) level by test day.
I only miss more than 2-3 on games that are a little "untraditional" (for example, PT 80 game 4). When I hit game 4 on PT 80, I stayed calm and tried to use intuition to push thru.. but got stuck... big time.
Do you all have any tips on how to improve on these kinds of games? Also, if you know any PTs with funky games please let me know!
To all my fellow February takers.. we got this!
@ Thank you for the advice! I am definitely going to try your "breaking down" method. I really appreciate your encouragement and I wish you the best of luck as well~
@ Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out for me! insert crying emoji I realized I wasn't trying to understand WHY the author tells us what she does. I think this will definitely help me-- I am feeling very hopeful! Also, thank you for your recommendations list. I actually have Pride and Prejudice so I am going to give that a re-read with an LSAT mindset!
