I would agree with you in part and say that Tiger Woods is part of the explanation why golf became so popular, however, Tiger Woods is not the sole reason for golf's popularity. There must be a period in this timeline when golf is both played by more than a few people and when golf is becoming popular. SO, the proposition that Tiger Woods arrival explains the popularity of golf fails to consider what else gave rise to golf's popularity.
The key to this question is staying focused on reaching the conclusion, rather than perfectly writing down the premises in lawgic.
