Does LSAC give you a ProctorU login username if you've never used ProctorU before when they email you to sign up for your test date/time? Or do we need to create an account? I'm thinking about creating an account prior to test day to streamline the process.

For those of you who had to reschedule the April LSAT... how likely do you think getting a refund from LSAC is?

Was supposed to take it today (Sat. April 30) and it took 20 minutes to even connect with a proctor, they took forever to message me, then told me that due to technical issues, I'm being forced to reschedule to May 3 or May 10. I was told the only way to reschedule is wait for a ProctorU live chat representative, and they don't know how long it'll take to connect me with one.

I also tried calling the two numbers on the LSAC site and the calls won't go through... if anyone has successfully rescheduled please let me know!!!

If you opt for the flex version prior to taking the PT, do you still have access to take and score the omitted section after you complete the test to use for drilling? #help

Where can you find information on creating a ProctorU account for the November LSAT?

Also following! I rescheduled from October to November but none of my LSAC emails indicated anything about creating a ProctorU account... I assume you guys found this info/additional instructions on the LSAC website?

Do you have any general advice you could share with improving each section/closing the actual vs. BR gap?

@ Exactly what Dan The Man said! Slowing down is definitely subjective, so to phrase it another way, slow down to the point where you could remember enough of the passage's structure, author's stance, tone, etc. to give someone a quick summary!

Also, I hate to admit it because I honestly just didn't want to do it, but drilling RC passages has really helped me improve. Utilize the RC problem sets in the CC and the timing feature. Each RC problem set contains 2 passages and you can either take it timed or untimed (per usual CC drills). If you do well with the easy intro ones, move on to the harder ones and see how you do!

If you have time, listen to Episode 41- "Reading Comprehension Skill Tests" of The PowerScore LSAT PodCast (fast forward through like the first 20 minutes to get to the helpful stuff lol). But I've found that listening to that podcast offers some helpful tips and tricks with my weaker areas like RC!

I was also against note-taking at first, but then I gave it shot because my RC score was trash. Instead of rewriting long notes, I jot down only 2-5 words that accurately sums up the entire paragraph and I number each set of notes corresponding to the number of the paragraph (obvi). I agree with earlier comments that slowing down reallyyyy helps. Take more time to understand the passage and questions will literally fly by.

7Sage LSAT Prep Plus Bundle Question

Hi all,

Quick question regarding the new 7Sage pricing/bundles LSAT study courses. I see it's required to have LSAC's LSAT Prep Plus. I haven't purchased LSAT Prep Plus through LSAC yet, and plan to buy the month by month 7Sage bundle with Prep Plus.

How does your LSAC account know you've purchased the LSAT Prep Plus through 7Sage? In checkout it doesn't seem like there's an option to enter your LSAC account info, etc. Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Problem Set Review Results Analytics

Hi all, I need some clarification on how to interpret the Review Results Analytics after problem sets are completed.

After completing a problem set, when hovering over the “Answer Choices” (A, B, C, D, E) what do the numbers above each choice represent? They look like a range of LSAT scores. Do/how do these numbers correlate to the “Curve” bar to the right of the “Answer Choices”?

Lastly, what are the differences between "Question Difficulty" and "Psg/Game/S Difficulty"?

Thanks!

I TOTALLY relate to you feeling anxious being at home and studying there and wanting results STAT. But your brain needs a break. I take off 1 full day each week to devote to anything except for the LSAT. Seriously, on your day off don't do ANYTHING LSAT related. You'll feel unproductive at first, but your brain will thank you for it! You need to take time to let information absorb into your brain. The LSAT sucks for everyone but will be so worth it in the end!!

You should also consider switching up your study space. I'm not sure where you're from, but if your state is slowly lifting quarantine measures, I'd do some research and see if there are any local or university libraries you can utilize. It seems like a small change but it drastically can make a difference for people and their motivation. I've been stuck in my house's basement for the past 3 months trying to study. At first it was okay, but then I started hitting a wall and couldn't focus at all -- there are too many distractions at home. Luckily my local library opened up this week and I feel like a new person lol.

Here's how my study schedule (for Oct. LSAT) has looked over the course of the past 6 months-ish in case you were curious:

Feb. to March 1-2 hours a day + 3-5 days a week with school

April to May intermittently 2-3 hours a day + 4-5 days a week (not working)

May to now 4-5 hours a day + 5-6 days a week (not working, but planning on getting PT job)

It's okay to be a little flexible with your studying!! For instance, if you sit down to study one day and are starting to feel burnt out (cloudy brain, can't focus), it might be best to take that day off and come back to your studies the next day. I hope this kinda helps... WE GOT THIS!

I was doing some research on Reddit (lol) because I'm struggling with the same issue. Someone suggested you should answer 1-13 then work backwards from 25. It sounds unconventional, but I just tried it out on a practice section and it was my best LR thus far (maybe it was luck idk). I think it sorta helps because your brain is less fatigued when it gets to the hard questions!

First of all, that's amazing progress!

I'm the exact same boat as you, PTing around mid 150s, BR around 162, and a goal of 165 -- planning on taking the Nov. exam! I'm trying to close my actual/BR gap, would you be willing to elaborate on the LG tiered-skipping strategy, LG "if" strategy, or other strategies that helped you close this gap so quickly?

I also completed the Loophole a couple of weeks ago now, and since then I've been drilling, foolproofing LG, and taking ~2 PTs a week with thorough BR.

7Sage Monthly Subscription Question

I subscribed to 7Sage monthly and have already paid for this last month (I'm about 2 weeks away from the next charge). If I stop my plan now (I took the April LSAT), will I still have access to my account/core curriculum for the rest of the "month"?

Additionally, if I plan to retake the LSAT and need to sign up for the monthly plan again, will my account be retained if I sign up using the same email?

I'm in the same boat, I'm not a morning person either!

I think keeping it as close to your usual study schedule is always a good bet. For example, if you're taking your practice tests in the afternoon, sign up to take the real thing in the afternoon so you can keep your routine as close to what you're used to. I usually start studying around 10/11am so I think I'm going to try to sign up for a test around noon/1pm if that's an option.

But I also heard that it's better to test earlier in the morning, for biological reasons and also you get it over with! Hope this kinda helps & good luck!! We're almost there!

I'm legit in the exact same boat as you, and I TOTALLY feel the same. I'm also registered for Nov. and I've been studying full-time since June. I've made a 14 point gain from my diagnostic BUT I've recently been stuck in a 9-10 point gap between my actual and BR test scores (and my goal score falls in my BR score range). I've consulted others on closing this gap, and honestly the biggest thing I've been told is to get faster and more accurate you must continue practicing over and over under timed conditions.

My worst section is also RC, so I've been using the the 7Sage RC problem sets (2 timed passages per set) to drill RC and get more familiar with question types there! I'm planning on taking the Nov. test + using score preview, then reassessing from there. Just wanted to reaffirm that you're not alone in this feeling, and the hard work will pay off. Keep pushing!

Definitely open to hearing other advice!

First of all, congrats!!

I'd love to hear your reasoning on why PT88 is excellent! I'm taking the Nov. exam and I've been trying to figure out which PTs to take these last few weeks of prep! Also, were you studying full time or studying + work/school?

Hi all,

I've decided to delay my exam to the October 3, 2020 test date in hopes of improving my timing and score -- currently PT-ing in high 140s/low 150s and BR-ing in high 150s, goal score is 165. What are some timing tips to close the real PT/BR gap for LR and RC? I've been BR-ing and drilling on non-PT days, and have seen improvement in my BR, 3-4 point BR gain, in the last couple of weeks but can't seem to improve my actual timed exam score (stuck in low 150s!!).

Second, how have you been studying with 1-2 months left? Drilling your weak areas? How many PT's do you take each week? I've found that taking 2 exams per week (in addition to drilling) is adequate to get a full BR + review of each exam without feeling burnt out but I'm not sure if I'm doing too much/little. If you take more PTs, are you splitting up sections and taking those separately instead of full PTs?

I thought it'd be important to note I'm fortunate enough to have been able to take this summer off in order to study for this exam full-time, but since I'm delaying the test until October I'll be getting a part-time job soon. I'd appreciate any advice or tips you have!

October 2020 LSAT Flex?

Hi all,

After initially planning to take the August 29, 2020 exam, I've decided it would be beneficial to delay my exam to the October 3, 2020 test date in hopes of improving my timing and score. Does anyone know if the October LSAT is most likely going to be a LSAT Flex?

Thanks!

I had LR, LG, RC - tbh it could've gone okay but it could've also gone not well lol

LR felt similar to PT's in the late 80s, a few disagreement questions that took a while to read, lowkey was thrown off because it took an extra 30 ish minutes to start my test from my actual test time. I felt like I was iffy on a lot of them, hopefully my intuition pulled through!!

LG wasn't too bad, first 3 were okay (seq., seq. w twist, grouping w/ twist). 4th game about grants was HARD af and I kinda figured it out with like 3 min left but I had to guess.

RC first 3 were ok, latin/jazz music, ice cores, cyclists on trails, IP law (comparative passage).

I took it on 5/3 after having to reschedule. My order was LG, RC, LR, RC. Did anyone think that the Logic Games section was extra difficult?

Break from Studying - 7Sage Account

If I decide to take some time off from studying (1+ months) and cancel my 7Sage subscription, then later resume both studying and the subscription payment, will my progress be saved or will my 7Sage account start back from the beginning?

Ditto to all that has been said above! I wanted to emphasize your 145 actual and 166 BR score. That's AWESOME. Obviously this shows you have the skills, you just need to translate them to a timed exam, all which comes with timed practice over and over again. Don't forget to celebrate the little victories throughout this process -- they're little things to keep ya going.

And try not to compare yourself to others. This is something I've really struggled with throughout this entire process too, but just remember your law school journey is YOUR journey, no one else's. Hold yourself accountable and stay disciplined but remember to take care of your mental and physical health too. WE GOT THIS!

April LSAT Writing Portion

Hi all,

Does anyone have any advice/tips on taking the writing portion of the LSAT? I've read it doesn't normally count for or against you and is used mainly to show you're competent with writing. I've read a couple of articles on prepping for it, but wanted to see what people have to say on here! Thanks!
