For Q2, last sentence says "Nittens is available for adoption". If we are following "words on the page" rule, we should not assume Nittens is a cat. For all we know, Nittens could be a dog, a giraffe, a car. No valid conclusion can be drawn, unless the statements reads something along the lines of "Nittens, a cat, is available for adoption."

Am I wrong to not being making the assumption that Nittens is a cat?
