Absolutely, but you need to put in time. You also need to be humble -- it's far too easy to grow overconfident and think your reasoning is rock solid, only to find out you were 100% wrong.

Shift in score per section

In my studying program I started by focusing on games until I was consistently scoring perfect.

Then I shifted my focus to LR until I was scoring between -0 and -6 total (two sections).

Now that I have shifted my focus to Reading Comprehension, my LR score has been decreasing to -8 or -12. I am also having a difficult time finishing the LR sections on time, leaving 3-4 questions blank and having to guess.

Did anyone else experience this and have any tips to handle this situation?

TEST DAY is just another day, given you are taking practice tests regularly.

Burn out

How do you guys handle it? How many days do you take off? How strictly do you avoid the LSAT? I mean do you not look at any questions? Only do games? Review 5 questions a day? What strategies do folks find not only useful but effective?

I am thinking about taking a few days off starting today -- I will probably take a PT on Tuesday. That's 4 days off. It would be a better idea to take a few days off ahead of time (as in now) as opposed to closer to test date, right? I'll probably keep my head clear and stay away from the LSAT the day before the test though.

What do you guys think? Any tips, suggestions, strategies, etc. will be appreciated. Thanks :)

7Sage also offers printable scantrons that you should be utilizing these last few weeks. Bubbling strategies is something to think about -- bubble after every question, bubble after every 5 questions, bubble after every page, bubble in the end, etc. Bubbling takes time, regardless of what strategy you use and this means less time to read, analyze and answer questions. Good luck!

Blind Review Question

Suppose you chose A, then chose B during blind review and it turns out the answer choice was C. How do you guys approach this situation? These are the questions JY claims we don't understand and are a good candidate to skip. I'm curious to know folks personal approach (e.g., flash cards, discussion, tutor, etc.).

Check the lsac website for details regarding your test center and items you can, can't, and MUST bring.

:) If you didn't know time I feel you don't know these other details.

Pre test jitters are real, so see how you feel around Friday, after a few days -- you might just currently be anxious. September 5th is the deadline for pushing back the test, so don't make any hasty decisions just yet.

** The worst thing will be taking the test and getting a score that you KNEW could have been better with a little more work. With that being said, it's up to you to decide if you are confident about your 170-172 range (in terms of consistency) and, more importantly, comfortable with that score.

7sage is a great resource. If you feel you need to complete the lessons thoroughly to reach your desired score, then push it back. The work situation you described simply depends on your time-management skills and, well, luck -- will your employer, again, allow you to take extensive time off?

** Personally, I've noticed that if I speed through the Lesson videos at 1.4+ speed the value of what JY is preaching to me decreases -- it goes over my head. SO I advise don't do that, in general, in case you are or were planning on 2.0+ speeding your way through the lessons.

Music

I read an article about a study that claimed the genre of music you listen to affects your intelligence. Then I read another article about a more recent study that claimed that the genre of music you listen to does not affect your intelligence. Regardless of which one of these studies is true I was curios to know what you guys listen to in general or before a practice test. And do you think it affects your test-taking skills?

When I was practicing logic games I was listening to Fabolous' Gettho Fabolous album but am not sure if it helped. Logical Reasoning was damn near impossible to understand while listening to music.

34 days left. What are YOU doing?

With 34 days left (that's 5 full weeks before "LSAT Saturday") I wanted to ask what everyone's study habits and schedules look like in order to give the 7sage September LSAT community a feeling of belonging, in the sense that there's more than one person here who is routinely sleeping at X:o'clockPM, waking up at Y:o'clockAM, and taking Z amount of PTs a week. It's easy to feel discouraged as time winds down.

What time do folks sleep and wake up? How often are you taking PTs in a week? How many days are you resting? What else do you do when you aren't studying? And any other routines and habits regarding your LSAT study schedule will be much appreciated. Thanks :)

Regarding Custom Schedule

This question is more for JY and the administrators of 7sage:

I was curious whether or not the Custom Schedule option has an automatic generating feature that customizes the schedule according to my LSAT Analytics weaknesses and mistakes?

For example If I have 600 Flaw questions that need improvement, 5 Weaken questions that need improvement, and let's say a majority of Sequencing questions that need improvement, does the Custom Schedule take this into account so I am not spending more time on Weaken questions when i should be focusing on Flaw questions?

This sort of option will really come in as time winds down to test date.

Help if Member.

Hi!

So there are 23 days left until the June LSAT.

I have been scoring around 160-165 on PTs.

Do you think this website will help me raise my score 5+ points? I'm not sure if an investment in the online class is worth it if it won't help increase my score significantly.

Thank you!

- Rahul
