@ my gpa was around a 2.3-2.4, so a 165+ would be, I would say minimum, to get a semi-competitive application for the upper echelon of schools. :/

Thank you for your help @ that's definitely going to help me make some major life choices this weekend haha...and I mean in terms of LSAT :P

So I took the LSAT in October and underperformed terribly, let's say in the 145-150 range, and I plan on retaking the test in December. On my PT's, I'm still not at where I want to be but I don't really want to, nor have the option to, really wait another full cycle before applying.

Also, I was an engineering major at UCI and graduated with a not so stellar GPA. However, at my current job, I'm gaining lots of experience--ranging from project management to quality control, another neat thing is I'm filing for a trademark to get my company's name and logo registered on the USPTO website << this is fantastic because I want to go to law school for Intellectual Property.

Now my question is, given my relatively lower gpa and not so stellar LSAT score (hoping to crush it this time around but knowing the LSAT, ya know...), what would you guys say are my chances of getting into a school with a pretty solid IP program?

Questions, comments, advice highly appreciated. :)

RC help!!

Hey guys,

So I've been following the RC memory method that JY talks about, and it's definitely helped me; however, I'm nowhere near where I want to be in my PT's when I grade my RC section. What are some of the alternative methods and ways that I can improve my RC score. Right now, I'm averaging -16 on my RC section *sighhh*. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Is this just a coincidence that I noticed or is this a possible method LSAT test makers utilize: The major conclusion relates family business to family prosperity, and in all of the answer choices, only answers C and D include anything about family in them. So I was able to get rid of A, B and E immediately. Now looking at D, it talks about willing to work because they believe something, and like you said we don't care what they're willing to do or what they believe. Therefore, that leaves answer choice C as the correct answer. Now again was this just a coincidence or could this be something to continuously look for when you maybe get stuck or don't have much time left?

Actually, I may have figured it out haha. I see it as the conclusion is saying that the correlation between the powers gained from playing chess and achievement in other areas of intellectual activity in fact implies that playing chess caused these achievements. And C wrecks that by saying that in fact, having intellectual achievement (ie high gpa) was required for joining the chess team. Am I correct on this? Any comments would be appreciated.
