I am currently writing my Personal Statement for law schools and I keep receiving conflicting advice on the direction in which one should take for this essay. I hope the 7sage community can lend their advice. On one hand, some say it is imperative to mention in your PS why you want to go to law school, making this point the anchor of the essay. Others, whom I tend to agree with, emphasis that a PS should be an essay that tells admissions something that they would otherwise never know about you, something crucial perhaps in character development. I don't want to write some boring, vanilla-flavored essay that admissions has read a bajillion times, but rather write something that jumps off the page and is memorable. I suppose the two ideas I'm describing can be amalgamated...smh. Please help me, people..

Spoke to LSAC on the phone yesterday and they said scores will be released June, 30, or this Thursday.
Love the suggestions, guys! Thank you. Also, I'm very intrigued where that hawk story is going already...lol
Retake scheduled for June 18, 2016! And scores will come back the same time as everyone from the June 6 test. Blessing in disguise possibly @
While I only took half the exam because of hurricane evacuation, I also had RC about Kafka ^. Found it to be a tough RC section.
I talked to LSAC this morning. They said they were in the process of creating a re-take and that all affected test takers would be notififed via email.
So, I guess my question to the 7sage community is this: is there any merit in doing questions 1-10, then skipping to questions 20-25 before attacking the middle questions, 11-19? I have taken multiple practice tests and seem to notice that towards the end of LR sections there are many "toss up" questions. Unfortunately, I find myself with barely enough time to answer these easy questions because questions 11-19 have eaten up a lot of my time. Is this an advisable LR strategy?? Would love some feedback. Hope everyone's studying is going well.
Will adcom look at my undergrad transcript at all? Or just LSAC summarization report?
Should I write an addendum asking admissions to see my undergraduate transcript for a better reflection of my GPA than the LSAC academic summarization? I had two one credit classes that I was given a "No Credit" for, but these classes were pass/fail and did not count towards my GPA. My GPA is .06 difference between the two reports. Not only this, but I had no idea I was ever enrolled in the classes. While I know I can call my undergrad institution to get them removed, I'm worried I won't have time for this with final deadlines approaching for fall admissions. Does admissions even look at my undergrad transcript or do they only look at the LSAC summarization? Need some advice!
Got the same email...and yup, knew my exact score too.
My first three sections were LG, RC and LR. I found it to be very similar to all of the prep tests in the 70's. I did, however, find RC to be rather difficult, which is usually my strength. The first passage was removed that was difficult so it kind of threw me off. Besides for a tough RC section, I thought games were easy and LR very standard. I was prepared and ready to take this thing thanks to 7sage, but living in FL you never know what might happen..
They did indicate I would not have to pay for the next LSAT, whether that be a re-take or in Sept. I wonder is this is going to count as my 2nd attempt? If so, that's BS. I had no control of this.
I took the June LSAT today in Orlando, FL. The test was going well, we had just finished break and were about to start the 4th section of the exam, when the Dean of the law school told everyone that we were being evacuated because of a hurricane and that we had to leave immediately. They told us LSAC was going to score the 3 sections we had finished, but to call LSAC for an further questions. I called LSAC and they indicated they would not be scoring the 3 sections and that a make up test date could possibly materialize, but they did not know for certain. Is there precedence for this?? Very frustrated.
I was just clarifying June 30th as Thursday haha @...LSAC was helping me out with transcript stuff and she said scores would be released June 30th.
