Recreating the environment for testing. I struggle with extreme testing anxiety, which causes me to have to reread content on the test because it would leave my brain as fast as I read it. My biggest issue is that I was reading too quickly due to nerves. I didn't so much focus on timed PTs, but instead timed drills. The biggest thing for me, in full transparency, was a new medication that lowered my heart rate (propranolol). I was able to intentionally slow my reading down so I didn't have to keep rereading content. I practiced the timed drills forcing myself to slow down.
I'm absolutely over the moon!!! From 151 in September to 162 now, I'm so proud of myself!!
