For those having trouble between B and E. B is saying that the new theories developed are more useful than the old theories HOWEVER the stimulus last statement says all new theories “always contain obsolete theories” and common sense is always in progress “not fully absorbed new theory”so we know nothing about the “new theories” if they are useful or not as a result of their obsolete quality so they are just obsolete theories is what the author concludes. E makes this difference stating old is less useful than the theory that is never absorbed instead of calling it a new theory like B did. I hope this helps.
