Not sure if everyone else has seen this yet, but November was just switched to flex officially. Registration deadline also moved up to the 23rd of September I believe.

I just received the email regarding sign up times for the November exam. I wanted to test my computer but i need to make an account first it says. I went to do that and it asked for an institution, does anyone know what to put for this? Does that mean your college? I also saw and LSAC option so i was not sure what to pick. Thanks!
Thanks everybody for the replies. Going to take some time off and regroup and hopefully come back refreshed and rejuvenated.
@ Hey thanks for the response. It is reassuring to know thats probably whats going on. Did you come back after 2-3 days off feeling a lot better?
So i went to take a pt today and for the first time in this study process i could not for the life of me concentrate on reading the stimulus and i did not want to either. I got so frustrated that i just closed out the test and called it a day. I have been studying pretty intensely since the end of February and have heard about the potential of "burnout" but have never had any trouble with motivation or desire to study. Then this morning happened and i am kind of worried this may be what is going on. I have not really taken any breaks longer than a day off since February. I am thinking about taking this next week off and just doing undergrad work and picking it up again next Saturday. Does anyone who has experienced something similar have any advice? I am registered for November so taking a week off makes me nervous about taking that much time off. Thanks!
Merry Christmas to you too. I was in a similar situation with RC until not too long ago. I was consistently -10 to 12. Honestly everything changed for me when I started working with @ for tutoring. He is amazing and just walking through a few practice passages helped a ton. Could not recommend Albert anymore highly!
I understand not everyone can afford tutoring. So another thing that I began doing in conjunction with tutoring that has helped tremendously is reading Economist articles. I am not just reading for pleasure though. I apply the “memory method” while doing so. I read the first paragraph summarize in my head, read the second and summarize the first and then the second paragraph, read the third and summarize first second and third paragraphs and so on. I do this for about the first five paragraphs since that is the typical length of an RC passage and then I write those 5 summaries out to test my memory. I then start over again if there are any remaining paragraphs in the article. I have found this has improved my short term memory and recollection of details so much. My last few RC scores on pt’s have been -4,5 and 6 just by doing this for about 5 or 6 articles a day. It also has exposed me to some dense stuff which has made reading certain RC passages far less difficult. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful. RC was so frustrating for me for so long, I just started experiencing decent scores on the section thanks to the above things, hopefully it will help you too!
Although I think i will be retaking, I want to thank this community and 7sage for the great service! I started out with a 140 diagnostic in March and felt pretty hopeless. After 8 months of studying with 7sage I was able to score a 161 on the November test and now have some solid options. I also want to apologize to everyone who did not score how they were hoping. It will only make it that much sweeter when you do get your dream score!
#help On this question and similar parallel reasoning questions can we eliminate answer choices a and e because it uses "confident" where as the stimulus uses "sure"? It does not match the same degree of certainty.
It is all speculation as it was not released but I am pretty sure the powerscore people predicted -8 or -9 for all of them.
I had the same diagnostic score as you back in the beginning of March and scored a 161 on the November exam. Shooting for 165 on January.
Hi all I am really struggling with the games section. I have foolproofed all the games from 1-35 and 60-70 and am still really struggling on my pt’s. I just can not seem to get better than -6/7 and am feeling kind of hopeless and not sure of what else to do. I continue foolproofing the above games during the week between practice tests but it just does not seem to be helping my performance much on new pt’s. Any suggestions on what to do would be very much appreciated!
For the flex the second LR section is the one always eliminated on 7 sage. There was a post saying they did some research and found the difference in scores between the two for students was very minimal so they made it easy and just eliminate the second each time.
I have a question about what you guys do after a PT in regards to your wrong LR answers. I know a lot of people do wrong answer journals which seems like a great idea, but I was wondering what exactly those who do that write down for each wrong question. Do you go over each answer choice and write out an explanation? What made you pick that specific wrong answer? etc. A lot of people have said this led to lots of improvement and I am hoping someone could explain what has worked and helped them. Thanks!
@ oh ok great. thank you!
This is super helpful thanks! Are the lsat medians updated here as well? It seems like they are different for some schools compared to the Spivey updated medians?
On my last four pt’s I have gotten -7 wrong on each one. In between each pt I foolproof all games from that specific test and continue to go through tests from 1-35 and the pts I completed recently. I have already foolproofed 1-35 as well. On each test I miss the substitution question, one or two total in the first three games, and then I get killled on the fourth game usually missing three or four. I’m hoping someone could give me some guidance on how to get my misses down on that last game. If I could do that I think I’d be in decent shape. On BR I am able to figure the games out and go -0 to -1, so I think I may just not be picking up on the inferences quick enough. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips you have!
@ thanks for the response and great advice! You are right about the quality over quantity idea. I think i will stick with 1 a week, thanks!
Hi all, i am hoping for some advice as to what i should do the last few months for pt's before the November test. I started studying with 7sage at the end of February and got a diagnostic score of 141. I then went through the CC slowly until the early part of May. I then read the loophole, foolproofed, and worked on sections until July 1st when i took my first timed pt. I have been doing timed pt's since then once a week roughly with thorough review, foolprofing, and timed sections from 1-35 in between each test. My last three scores have been 164, 160, and 160, with BR's 0f 166-170. My concern is I have only done 11 timed pt's so far, 60-70. If i keep up with one a week that will put me at roughly 18 before November. Do you think i should be doing two pt's a week so i can get to around 25 by the time November rolls around? I see a lot of suggestions about having 25-30 timed runs under your belt before the real thing. On the flip side, if i do not score how i want in November (165+) i may end up delaying a cycle and studying until next summer. I am afraid i may not have enough clean pt's to do this if i bump it up to two a week in preparation for November. I am not sure what to do and would appreciate any feedback, thank you!
Hi all, i just received my grades from this past semester and am wondering if it is routine to email the schools i have already applied to with my updated GPA? Thanks in advance!
#help Can someone please explain why were allowed to assume that "methane falling apart" is equivalent to it being released". In my opinion at least, that seems like a jump.
Hey everyone, this question has probably been answered but will I still be able to upgrade my current ultimate course to the ultimate plus course after the 29th of March? Or does that option no longer become available after the 29th? Thanks!
There were a lot of posts and predictions from power score that they were going to be using early 80’s for January. This is all speculation but they have been pretty accurate with these predictions regarding flex so far.
You get a minute between each section or you can choose to just start right away. There is a timer that counts down from 60 seconds.
It seems like only some schools have the NALP reports available. Is this not required because it is all self reported? I see all the employment outcomes for the schools I’m looking at but only found about half of the NALP reports?
I took November and the LR was incredibly easy. Felt like 60’s to me. I ran into the same issue with 80’s Lr though.
If you are shooting for a 160 you are in great shape already being at 157 on your first post cc test. Once you get more used to the timing you will go up from that alone. But the “easiest” way for you to improve your score would be to get LG to -0 to 2. I used the cc and 36-60 as drilling and foolproofed all of those games as well. I was similar to you with LG after 1-35 and doing LG sections up to 60 helped me get to around -2.
Has anyone had any success with any of the reading comprehension guides? In particular manhattans, blueprint, or the trainer? I’m pretty confident in my Lr and lg abilities, the only thing holding me back right now is RC. I’ve practiced a ton with thorough blind review but my scores are wildly inconsistent. I just wanted to see what the general opinion was on here about any of those. Thanks!
Hi everyone, I have a question that I would really like some input on from fellow members on here. I started studying for the lsat in the beginning of December with PowerScore books and did that for about two and half months with a few practice sections scattered in that time as well. I realized towards the end of February that I was not getting anywhere so I signed up for 7 sage and took the diagnostic which I scored a 142 on. I went through the cc pretty meticulously, read the loophole, and foolproofed games 1-35. I took my first post cc pt on the 1st of July and scored a 152, and then tonight I hit 160 with a Br score of 167. I went -12 total in LR, -6 in RC, and -8 in LG. My goal score is a 165. The deadline to sign up for August is the 15th so I kind of need to decide if I should attempt that test date soon. My other option is October. I guess I am wondering if you guys think I’m better off just registering for October giving myself lots of time, or trying to push even harder than I have been the next month and a half to be able to get a score and applications in sooner, of course if I get my desired score. I also would welcome any advice on what to do for LG, I foolproofed 1-35 but still can’t seem to get to -3 range. Thanks in advance for the responses!
I see a lot of people suggesting various magazines and pieces of fiction to read that contain the dense and complicated language similar to that of RC passages. Would printing out already used RC passages and just practice reading those be just as effective if not more so? Has anyone else done this and seen improvements from it? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
@ Your welcome! I started studying on 7sage at the end of February with a 141 diagnostic. My pt range was 158-164. I think it is easier in the sense that it requires less endurance, but the individual sections are not said to be any easier or difficult than a full pt. They take experimental sections from previous full LSAT's used in the past.
@ Thanks! To be honest, Proctor U experience was awesome. I was worried too but the proctor couldn't have been better. The stuff in the beginning was a little tedious with the room check and having to authorize a bunch of screen share things, but the proctor walked me through it all. During my whole test he was muted and it was like he wasn't even there. I personally thought it felt more like 70's or even 60's. Games were nothing i hadn't seen before, LR was suspiciously easy. I thought RC was very difficult though.
@ thanks! appreciate all of your comments and help on here too!
Just finished the flex for November. Had RC, LG, LR. Struggled big time with RC, but LG wasn't bad, LR was super easy, im kinda skeptical because of how simple i thought it was. Good luck to everyone else taking it!
I am interested as well!
I saw a post that seemed like a good idea, you could take the test and then not even look at the score. That way you would still get in the pt, but your confidence would hopefully stay the same.
I made great improvements in the LR section after using the loophole. On the pt's in the 60's and 70's i was usually -3 to -5. Since moving into the 80's though my scores have gotten much worse, anywhere from -5 to -8. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found that taking a break from timed sections and pt's to go back to doing translation and clir drills helped? That is what helped me get to -3 on the earlier pt's but i am scheduled to take January and taking a break from timed work scares me. Appreciate any feedback you may have!
Have you read Loophole yet? The CC is a great foundation but I found that doing tons and tons of translation and clir drills (two fundamental concepts in the book) to be the most helpful thing I’ve done for LR. Also just seeing tons of questions makes you better at recognizing things and you will realize that they repeat a lot similar to Logic Games.
I have just begun the foolproofing process for pt's 1-35 and i am just curious as to how many sections those of you who foolproofed did per day. I was originally planning on doing one a day that way i can keep up with RC and LR while foolproofing but i have not started timed prep tests yet and was hoping to sit for the August exam and have October as a fall back if it doesn't go well. I am concerned doing one per day would put me to early/mid June and then only roughly 2-2.5 months to prep test. Do you guys think that is enough time for pt's? Thanks in advance for your advice and help!
Hey guys quick question about going through logic games. For those that fullproofed, did you do every game from 1-35, and did you do all of that before you started taking timed pt's or after a few pt's where you were struggling on the games? Just started the logic game curriculum and I am trying to plan out my studying and see if anyone had recommendations about how to go about it. Thanks in advance for your help!
I think everyone has little things that work for them and it is just a matter of finding what works for you. With that being said, I was in a similar situation where I was constantly scoring -7/8 for about 5 months. What helped me get down to -2 consistently aside from tons of foolproofing was working backwards. Before I always would run out of time on the fourth game. By starting out with the harder game I was more relaxed because I had so much time and was able to make inferences and find all the possible worlds when possible. I tried to leave myself with at the very least 12 minutes to finish the first two games, which is usually more than enough because there is not as much setup involved in most cases in the first two games. Again, this is just what helped me and if you have tried a bunch of other things maybe you can give it a try.
For those who are taking November, are you going to take a break from studying until the score release, and then either be all done with the LSAT or start studying again for January? Or are you going to keep studying until the score release and then go from there?
Say i submit my transcript now before my final year of undergrad and do not apply anywhere until after the first semester, does my transcript automatically update and reflect this upcoming semester, or will i have to resubmit my transcript through LSAC again after the semester in order for it to contain this upcoming semester's grades? Thanks in advance for the replies!
Hi all I have a question for those who have had to push their test date back. I started the curriculum at the end of February after trying to study on my own for two months and not getting anywhere. I recently finished the curriculum and am in the process of foolproofing before I begin the pt phase. I was hoping to be ready for August and last resort October. However, I watched a 7 sage video last night about the post curriculum strategy by a sage named Josh who describes the three phases after the curriculum. After watching this I realized even though I finished the curriculum I still have a very very long way to go with this test and it does not seem like I will be ready by August and possibly even October. This is kind of disappointing because that is the date I had my eye set on for a while. I am wondering how anyone has dealt with the disappointment of having to delay your test date and sort of the mindset that helped you get over that disappointment. Thanks in advance for your responses!
It is very helpful for must be true questions when you have multiple conditional statements that you can chain together.
Wondering if anyone has any helpful tips on how to balance a full course load in undergrad with studying. I began studying late February and made huge improvements over the summer while i could focus completely on the LSAT, but now with classes starting up again a lot more has been added to my days. I am hoping to test in November and want to keep improving these next two months before then. Thanks!
Hi all. I am looking for someone to review and go over pt's with about once a week. I took the November exam and scored a 161 and am shooting for a 165 for January. I study for a couple hours a day during the week and then take a full pt on Saturdays. I have completed 60-80 as pt's and am planning on working up from 81 as January approaches. My plan was to hopefully take the same pt's each weekend and then meet on zoom maybe on Monday of the following week. We could use the screen share feature and take turns going over our exam and talking through our wrong answers or thought processes. I think having someone explain their thoughts and process will be very helpful for me, and hopefully I could be of some help to you. If you think you would be interested in something like this, please comment or dm and we can talk further. I am planning on taking 81 on Saturday. Thanks so much!
Yeah for sure. The email says sign up times begin at noon eastern time on Thursday the 29th
