Pt scores higher than actual scores

Hello all,

So today was score release day and I'm devastated. I was really hoping to make it before this application cycle was over, but my score today was in the minimum score range of all of my perspective schools. I don't know what to do- every single PT exam I take I score within the 160-170 range, and then every time I take the real exam I score in the 150s. I am so utterly frustrated! I don't know how to close this gap, and extreme test anxiety doesn't help. I think I am going to have to go at this for another year and try again next app cycle. Does anyone have any advice for how to help my actual score reflect PT scores?

Absolutely ask someone else. One letter will not be taken seriously by any admissions offices. I would say have at least 3 letters.

Ctrl+F

Can anyone confirm that we can use ctrl+f during the LSAT without getting in trouble? I saw this on reddit but I always assumed we couldn’t.

Accommodation help

I was approved for accommodations for the exam next week and it's my first time taking with accommodations. I've taken the LSAT twice before. For those of you that have done this already, is the proctor already aware of your accommodations when you begin? Do you need to confirm with them or show them anything? I want to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible.

even if it doesn't show up now, it may show up on your character and fitness when you're trying to pass the bar exam. I think you should be fine if it wasn't reported to the police and stayed within the school, but I would definitely talk to an admissions expert about it.

I am wondering the same thing! Is there a way to make it so the schools you send your apps to don't review until we get our January scores?

I think it was just an extremely tough test. My advice would be re take in January!

Generally extremely close. You can count on scoring very similarly in range, as long as you've been consistently scoring the same on PTs!

Firstly, take the time to make your way through the core curriculum- every last bit of it. Just completing that got me a 7 point score increase!

@ That's awesome! You're already off to a great start. I would say make sure to finish the core curriculum before you start taking PTs. Second, really hone in on mastering logic games. Once it clicks, it's so much easier to get consistent scores in that section. Lastly, start your time in LR by diagramming logical arguments. It gets you into the groove of recognizing and understanding them from the get go. I hope this helps!

149----173

Guys, if I can do it, you can do it too.

I started studying for the LSAT in January of 2021 with Khan Academy. After months and months of practice tests and hours of studying (around 5 a day) I took the test in April and got a 149. I had kept PT'ing in that range during my studying so I had expected it. I kept thinking either I am extremely dumb or something just isn't clicking... So I changed up my routine and paid for 7Sage. I began studying in the early morning 4 hours before work and taking the time after work to relax. I put a cap on how long I should study each day. I finished the core curriculum a few weeks ago and my first PT was a 155. I couldn't believe my eyes. Flash forward to now and I am PT'ing in the 170's. I just wanted to post this because I know how exhausting and disheartening this process can be. YOU CAN DO IT.

Looking for a tutor

Hey everyone! I am looking to score in the high 150s-low 160s for the November exam. I have been with 7sage for about a month now. If anyone is in a study group or would be able to tutor me I would appreciate it!
