Yes,

for strengthening, all you're doing is making the argument stronger. In other words, you're making the conclusion more likely based on the given premises. So, no, you're right that just because the English version differed greatly doesn't mean that Shakespeare used the Latin version. However, it makes it more likely that he did. We took one other translated version out of contention in the possible versions Shakespeare could have read, and so Latin is more likely. Same for C.

A simply does not make the conclusion more possible.

i personally think a lot doing LR is just becoming familiar with the question stem and knowing the types of invalid arguments that they would throw at you. what is your thought process for LR? How do you tend to approach them? Perhaps adjusting one of these would be beneficial :)
