When you have Group 3 and 4 together.

Hi guys,

When you come across a group 3 and group 4 indicator in the same sentence ("cannot" and "unless"), which rule do you use? e.g. the group 3 or group 4 rule. Basically, how do I react to multiple indicators from multiple groups in the same sentence?

I can't find the answer in my notes. I think it is somewhere in the core c. I don't know where.

Thanks.

Everyone, thank you. I started in August and I was hoping for Feb., we'll see what happens between now and then!

Great, thanks everyone. In "memorizing those inferences," has the collective body of 7sage knowledge put some kind of quantifiable number on the list of inferences in play. I know there are a limited number of game types/setups that have presented themselves across the previous test administrations.

e.g. There are probably around some 600-1200 inferences that pop up across the previous 300+ games.

Is this a bad way of thinking about it? Is it better to conceive of this as a few types of games with a few different variations that can pop up on each type? e.g. only a few hundred "inferences to memorize"

Sheri, the only tangible advice I have is that for the other sections it is necessary to take full length 4 section tests under proper conditions. This has affected me tremendously. Also, it cannot be discounted that rest affects your abilities.

Overall Trends in Games

Hi guys, I'm a pretty average test taker with scores that are placing me right in the middle of the pack after several months of training. Most recently, I hit 155 while only getting 8 questions correct in the games section. It is my biggest impediment by far.

Here are my questions:

1. I recall JY said something along the lines that "at some point" logic games will just click for you." Has anyone with more studying under their belt been consistently bad at this and then finally broken through?

2. Is it normal to have so many problems with games? My performance on the games in the analytics dashboard is pretty bad when compared against the other students.

3. I'm assuming the only remediation here is to continue re-doing copies of games. If this is the case, have you found it true that this whole process takes an actual year?

In essence, I feel like I'm spinning my wheels when it comes to games.

Also, there is ample commentary in the blogosphere regarding the JD putting people at a disadvantage for being over qualified for their position. Non-lawyers can view JDs as: "why do you want to work here when you could be counting your money piles in your law office." There is a high degree of confusion regarding the legal profession when it comes to public perception. e.g. the phrase "be a doctor or a lawyer" The two professions are not commensurate in terms of financial outcomes for average graduates from their respective professional schools. Lawyers realize this but the average businessman does not. Law school transparency is a good website to start at to answer your question.

You should really think about the cost of debt when looking at degrees. Yes, there are many C-level officers with JDs running around.

I have an MBA from an SEC school. It was very useful for me. However this stuff is what you make of it.

Nicole's advice above regarding the JD advantage is true. I know several law students who were 1Ls in 2010. Some of them are practicing. While there are others who never used the JD.

Your real question is what debt can I afford and is it worth it.

I'd really look at it from the debt perspective. 2K in loans a month is overwhelming.

Here is the reality of your situation:

Look, you've only done 12% of the recommended 40 PTs. The site admins have seen thousands of people just like you, and their prescription is 40 PTs and around a year to study.

You have not done 40 PTs. Whatever you've done over the last 8 months, you've averaged less than 1 PT a month.

You need to follow their directions or you'll get the same result.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
