Remember what you are reading the passage for. You are looking for points of view, opinion shifts and general topics of paragraphs. You are not reading for tiny details. Also, I started doing a lot better once I realized that almost every answer is stated in the passage. The passage is really giving you exactly what you need.

They send out the email to choose about 2 weeks before. I am assuming that it starts at 7. However, these are all EDT times. So there are people who took the August test at some odd times on the west coast. Another reason to sign up right away.

If its possible, I would suggest getting an actual cord for your internet on test day, so you aren't completely relying on wifi. It does appear to prefer chrome.

I would stick with 7sage. I think that the problem might be more that you have only really done the games from 1-35. Its important to do newer games, as they can be really different. Instead of learning a new program, I would proof games 70+. Games in the 60s tend to be harder as well. I don't think that a new program will change that. If you really want to add something, I would add the Loophole for LR. Its made a big difference for me. I got a 154 in August. I started the loophole 2 days after the test and just got a 162 on my PT yesterday.

If they granted it to you, then I would put it. I think that it will be evident that it is from the school that awarded it. If anything I would think that it would draw attention to the fact that you seem to have gotten better grades after you transferred. I wouldn't be shy about that.

I would consider calling them and making sure there wasn't an issue?

You don't want to take it when you aren't ready and have it freak you out for November. Ideally you really need to take PTs and practice after you finish the core. Finishing the core isn't going to do anything for your RC. LG also takes a lot of practice after the core. I would also be wary of thinking you can study that much. Burn out is definitely real.

October.. I am doing a hard reading passage a day. I am doing 1 new game set and proofing each day. I also just got The Loophole for LR, because I need something different. I will work through that before October. I am going to redo some PTs in the 80s on Saturdays.

Have you done the admissions sessions with the schools you applied to? I know for one of mine they start accepting Sept. 1, but don't actually start looking at applications til the end of October. They mentioned this in the admission zoom meetings. It might give you an idea.

I think that its OK too. I sounds like you were just pulling random ones, but either way you should be OK. I would just keep an eye out in the future. I have now done all of the recent prep tests before Aug, but I am going to take October as well, so it will be all review.

I took one this weekend. I am just doing some harder LR, one hard RC passage and whole game section each day.

Get Acquainted with Writing

Has anyone gotten "Get Acquainted with Writing" to work? I am nervous to try to open the actual writing test, since I am unable to get anything but an error message when I try to open the practice section.

I think that it will be at least next summer before there is an in person test. I would look into getting a hotel room or something if you don't want to be at home.

I would figure out how many you plan to take and then take the most recent ones available. Those are the best indicators.

They do not. They take a little over two hours to take. If you do a full blind review, then that takes some time. The 12 hours is if you listen to every single explanation. Some of the RC passages have over an hour of explanation per passage. You could do some tests, but to me it is a little bit of a waste of time. You wouldn't be answering to the best of your ability if you haven't finished the core. I would also caution that many of the LG games that he uses in sets are from those initial tests. It ends up being around 40 games that are in the core. You could end up with some weird overlap that just complicates things. I made a spread sheet as I did them to keep track.

Have you studied at all? 50 hours a week would be a good way to burn out. Many of these concepts you really have to understand, not just memorize. I would say with 95% certainty that October would be FLEX. Chances are they will be FLEX until next summer. I understand how you feel though. I was nervous that August wouldn't be FLEX 4 months ago.

I am pretty sure that the August will be Flex. The rates are really soaring in quite a few states. I can't imagine sending kids back to school will make it better. I would guess that it will be flex til next summer.

Don't skip! I was tempted to skip down to the LG too. Don't do it!! I know that the hours look terrifying. I started the last week of April and just finished the majority of the CC today. I study about 3 hours a day. You can get through it a lot faster than the hours indicate. I did all of the lessons, but about half of the LR practice sets. I plan on coming back to them later. In the games, I proofed every simple game that he gave as an example and as a practice set. It took me 3 weeks to do that. I could feel myself improving so much in that time. However, I really think that having gone through the LR lessons helped me a lot on the games. If you haven't fully mastered LR, he tells you not to even try beyond the most basic games. I am taking it in August. I have 10 weeks to take full tests.

From what I have read in other comments, it seems like many foolproof the games in PTs 1-35. All of the games in the problem sets are from PTs 1-35. Because I was also struggling, I am fool proofing every game that I do. I am at the end of the third section of lessons. I have already fool proofed over 40 games. I made an excel chart to keep track of all of the games that I have fool proofed. I expect that by fool proofing all of the games in the problem sets and examples, I will have done the majority of the games in PTs 1-35.

Also, if you are struggling in the sequencing games, do yourself a favor and expect to have to review all of the advanced logic before you really get into the grouping games. You really have to have all of your logical indicators memorized. I didn't have any real logic or games experience going into this. I had to go back and repeat/memorize those sections.

Fool Proofing

I am working on the LG section of the CC. I am fool proofing all of the games as I go through them, examples and timed sections. How much time should I plan to give between runs on a particular game? After writing a game out 3-4 times (twice a day), I am able to get it down quickly, but I also feel like I am just memorizing. Is there a particular set of games that we are supposed to full proof or just do them as we go? I am also planning on testing in August, so I have about 3 months to work with.

Did you just start the process by doing the games in the cc? Work on those first and then the ones that are in the practice tests that you do? How many games do you think that you have gone through like that? It seems slightly overwhelming at the moment.
