Even if the politician doesn't make the assumption that there is a difference in principles, isn't the use of compromise in two different meanings still valid? It's not like the politician is relying on the definition of compromise to base his argument unless I'm wrong about that. I don't see how using "compromise" in two different contexts warrants a flawed argument. #help

Had trouble choosing A. The stim tells us that the FOCUS on competitive sports is the reason why less competitive students turn away from sports. A) tells us that P.E. needs to include more noncompetitive sports. What if all schools already have noncompetitive sports but they only focus more on competitive sports? To me there is a disconnect between already having a sport vs. focusing on the type of sport which is present in the stimulus and A). #help

Could see why C is wrong, but I disagree with C because it assumes that Cable Bridge having a more aesthetically pleasing result = better at maintaining beauty of river crossing.

What if the Cable Bridge was designed by the bridge designing gods while the concrete skyway was designed by a puppy, however, the Cable bridge obstructs the river crossing view while the concrete skyway doesn't

In this scenario, Cable Bridge has a more aesthetically pleasing result but does less in maintaining beauty.

Is it fair to equate aesthetically pleasing result with maintaining beauty of river crossing?

Letter of Recommendation Help

I asked my employer to write a letter of recommendation for but they asked what I want them to include in the letter. Aside from a resume/why I want to go to law school cover letter, is there anything in specific people usually want their recommenders to write about?

Is there a resource to learn the notation thing he talks about with the subgroups? I think the curriculum only teaches the conditionals.

This might be my own bias/assumptions but aren't the 2 groups of people compared in this study the same?

Group A: 3 glasses of wine daily

Group Binge: 3 OR more glasses of wine but less than once per week

In stimulus, Critics say that "Binge drinkers are those most likely to drink 3 glasses of wine in one day and those most likely to suffer from heart attack".

Given critic's analysis, doesn't Group A also fit under this criteria (drink 3 glasses of wine in one day)?

Could also be that I am assuming Group A's drinking habits are worse than Group Binge's drinking habits.

Does "fail to establish" as a verb in an answer imply that if a statement were to be true, the argument would be valid/stronger?

Can someone help me with the conditional logic of Answer Choice D? Based on my work is seems like what I have is the opposite of what it should be.

Work: No (premodern general theory of art achieves its purpose) unless (music is not art).

- No implies negate necessary and unless implies negate sufficient so:

> PGTAP → MA and contrapositive is MA → PGTAP

Could someone let me know what is wrong with this?
