I got this one wrong but now that I see why, I am interpreting it as that because there are narrow ones and they aren't significantly less expensive, that they would require much more to fill a big house and, therefore, would actually be much more expensive than using wide ones to fill a smaller home? Is it fair to assume it like that?

im having a difficult time understanding the passage and being able to connect it to the answer choices. I understand the passage on its own but when approaching the answer choices, I get stuck.
