To anyone who wants to purchase: emailed PowerScore and here is the response and link!

Yes, if you would like to access the recording, you would want to purchase one of our courses, analytics packages, or tutoring packages.

The most affordable option of these options is our Testing & Analytics package subscription: https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/publications/digital-tests/. The total cost comes to $39.99 for two months (Please note that after the first 60 days, you are charged a renewal of $19.99/30 days until you let us know to cancel. You also would need the $99 LSAC Prep Plus, if you don’t have it through LSAC already.)

Thank you for this input!!! Just a little extra background, I graduated 2019 and 2020 but worked full time as an engineer in undergrad/grad school starting in 2018, so as of right now, that puts me at 3-4 years of experience in the industry. You're totally right, lots of patent attorneys work for longer! But I'm at the point where I know I do not want to be an engineer and feel VERY ready for a career change and feel it is the best decision for my timeline and what I want to do with my life. I am taking the august 2021 test and studying VERY hard to boost my score even a little, so I appreciate the your advice and support!!!

Law School Splitter

Hi everyone! I am just looking to get some advice...

I live in Austin (TX resident) and am applying to law school in the Fall 2021 cycle. I really want to go to UT Austin but I am a splitter and curious if anyone has insight. I know UT Austin's L50 for LSAT has risen to 168 and I am pretty far off). Here's my background:

BS in Biomedical Engineering - GPA: 3.843 (2019)

MS in Biomedical Engineering - GPA: 3.833 (2020)

LSAT: 160 (I've taken twice and I think my second time score was worse, so going with my first score)

I've worked in medical device industry for 3+ years, in R&D (as an engineer) and now full time in Regulatory Affairs (legal function) in medical devices.

Interested in IP and Patent law with my engineering background and have worked in biotech/life science for a long time.

Thoughts on applying ED? Will this greater my chances of acceptance? Is this school too high a reach for someone with my LSAT score?

Realistically, I don't think I'll be able to re-take the LSAT for a third time (August) and boost it up to anywhere near the median. I know some people have suggested I take a third time, aiming closer to 163 (L25 is 164). I know myself and working full-time still, studying this summer and writing my personal statement (and getting ready for application cycle), I just don't see myself committing the entirety of my free time to re-studying a third time..

Will I get to mid-160s?

I am almost through the LR core curriculum and took my second PT and not seeing much improvement in the LR section specifically which I was hoping for.

Diagnostic:

Actual-148

BR-153

PT50:

Actual-153

BR-167

My best section is LG and worst is LR....Anyone have any strategies on how to improve on LR? I am looking to get into the mid-160s but am unsure if that is possible given my progress, granted every section I did run out of time which is what killed me.

Looking for ONE study buddy

Hi everyone,

I am looking for one study buddy who is still working through the core curriculum and aims to take the exam either Feb 2021 or April 2021 and preferably someone shooting for mid-upper 160s. I work a 40-hour/week corporate job so I need to be extremely regimental in my studying and would love to have someone to discuss and review, as well as keeping each other on track.

Reasonably my study schedule is as follows:

Monday-Friday: start studying between 6-8PM Central Time (Based in Austin, TX)

Saturday, Sunday: during the day

I think this would be more useful when we get to the PT part of the course (my goal is November) but I really want to work with someone from the start.

DM me if you think you'd be interested - we can chat on the phone or FaceTime to see if our goals are aligned and would get something out of working together.

Sophia :)

@ Thank you for your response! I couldn't agree more - my biggest concern right now is burn out. And yes, sitting at a screen for 13 hours a day is just unhealthy. Luckily, I've been able to move through the Curriculum and problem sets quicker (not needing to watch all the explanation videos for Problem sets, etc.). I usually only do 2-3 hours a night thank goodness!! I have a good routine where I take a big break between work and studying. I really appreciate your kind words' it's so nice to interact with people in similar situations.

Hey! I'm in a somewhat similar position to you, regarding the inconsistent studying. I got the course back in March and only now am I seriously studying - aiming for the Feb 2021 exam. I am struggling with keeping up the 35 hour a week study schedule plus working a full-time 40 hour corporate job. Working from home is a blessing and curse. It gives me more time to study after work, but I feel like I'm glued to my computer for 13 hours a day which isn't healthy. For me, I think I hit a breakthrough when I realized that the only way I was gunna get this down was to suck it up and study. I am aiming to finish my 7sage CC by November and practice test until Feb. I would definitely recommend holding off on applying until next cycle, which is what I'm doing! I have a similar GPA as you and finished grad school this year but don't think I will be a strong candidate if I rush the LSAT and try to apply now. In terms of stress, I'm less stressed and more exhausted with my schedule and afraid of burnout/lack of motivation to continue. But I know that even if I don't take the Feb test, I have plenty of options before Fall 2021 applications open!!! Feel free to reach out to me if you wanna chat/help each other stay on the right track!
