I did so much worse than my average, far worse than you're supposed to do I feel so discouraged because I don't even know what to work on besides yes logic games but seems like I had to really fuck it all up to get a 152

anxiety when timing myself

Does anybody else get super anxious when they try to time their PTs? I find it super distracting and my mind keeps thinking about the time rather than the question i'm reading.

I must have had a different test than most of the people here. I had LR-RC-LG

RC wasn't too bad except for the third passage which was a law one about acoustic separation. LG the third game was hard and I wasted too much time on it which left me scrambling to finish the fourth. I wish I had skipped and gone back to it. LR felt normal.

Improving science/economics comprehension

This question may have been posted previously in regards to science, but as somebody who studied liberal arts I find the economics and science questions in logical reasoning and reading comp way more challenging because I have to take extra time just to understand the content otherwise I end up not understanding entirely which leads me to the wrong answer. I read a bit of science and economics on my own but I was wondering if anybody has any tips for this? Publications to read etc?

Take and see what you can do. You never know. My BR partner ended up with a 180 and she certainly was not averaging that. I got several points below my average, which I think is more typical. You do not know though, and I think that the Flexes do not count towards your lifetime limits. Take both, if nothing else the October one will show you what the January will look like.

You can pay as a first time test taker to see your score before cancelling so there isn't much risk in me taking it besides having a cancelled score which I am not too concerned about since January is my last writing attempt for this admissions cycle.

Hi Sophie! I was in the same boat and decided to postpone till January and currently considering postponing another year. My highest PT was a 162/169 BR and I got a 156 on the October test. I would not bank on getting a 160, and I personally decided to reschedule from November till January to not overstress myself.

Take into consideration that schools also care about how many times you take the LSAT and cancel your score. That's another reason I decided to wait.

Just things to consider and good luck.

Well January LSAT is my last chance for most Canadian schools and I want to write twice as I anticipate I may be quite nervous the first go around. I have already post-poned a few times I just want to get it done and over with.

I'm writing the November test and I'm around 157-159 on PTs because I'm still slow/not consistent in LG. LG feels like math and I'm terrible at math. I will likely write again in January but I'm trying to decide if I should grind super hard in the next week or just accept that I'll be writing the January test and not burn myself out. I want a 160 at minimum.

One thing that I find useful for questions with difficult setups is looking at the first question. The first question is usually a sequencing question, and it'll tell you what the groups you should use are vs what variables go into the groups. Hope this helps!

Yes- definitely this. Nothing more frustrating than realizing you've set your game board up opposite the way the questions are worded after you're already set up. I find the back and forth very confusing. Another tip: Read all of the rules, write them down, then re-read them before setting up your board. I can't tell you how many times I've set up incorrectly because I misread or overlooked a tiny detail.

yep same. any time I bomb a game I've made a set up error and made it nearly impossible to answer correctly.

Best way to recognize set up

LG is by far my worst section, my biggest issue is recognizing what set up a game needs when they're a bit more complex. What do you think is the best way to practice recognizing what set up a game requires?

Confirm action

Are you sure?
