I recently just took a proctored practice test and on my first try I only scored a 140. This was without any studying except for about an hr looking at 1D games (which I got correct on the exam). Is there any way I would be able to achieve over a 160 then? I hear so many people saying that they have gotten 160s on their first practice test, but if that was with studying, Idk? Anyways... I think fear of failure is setting in for some reason. What do you guys think about the first PT marks? I am writing in October.

I am confident I will do better than my PT mark once I study all four sections and learn the tricks to them. I always have this fear of failure and need reassurance for almost everything even though I usually do very well in Uni and score A's on everything. But here...the LSAT is an entirely new thing.

I already signed up for the October LSAT, but should I also sign up for the December one just in case before it fills up? Do people do this? Or is this unheard of?
This is the same issue for me. i started with a PT at 140 and I managed to score a 151 and 152 on the last two full timed practice tests. I have to get up to 160 in order to try and get into the school in Canada that I really want to go to since it is the only joint program of its kind in all of Canada. The one positive I can take out of my score is that the questions in LR that I am messing up are all the same type... Sufficient, necessary assumption, Reasoning, parralel questions, inference and point at issue. it seems like a lot but I am confident i can fix this. On the other hand, my Reading Comp sections are so hit or miss it is not even funny. anyways, I am still taking the October test, and if I do mess up you can look at it as a practice day and just re-do it in December. Hopefully the 160 comes on the first try though. good luck
