If a question is removed from scoring, does that help ALL of the test takers grades go up? Does anyone know for sure?

@richadhirani604 It's not scaled based off everyone's performance, it's scaled off of the writers perceived difficulty before the exam is even given out.
Based off of all the forums I've read here, Reddit and TLS, I think everyone's first section was experimental. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If you check your LSAC account it should say July 7th. Is that not correct?
I also has trouble with PT 72. Its a confidence killer. I wouldn't advise for the last week.
In my opinion, and based off of what I've seen on these forums, PT 72, or the June 2014 test was extremely difficult. I scored 4 points lower than my average on it. Being that it was the June test one year ago, does anyone think the June 2015 test Monday will also be similarly difficult? The scale for June 2014 was graded easier (because of the harder test) than most June tests before it. I'm nervous.
I'm considering "speeding" through the reading and trying my best to retain the info then go for all 4 passages
@alexandergreene93842 seems like a good idea, assuming I complete 4 passages. I've been told many times to do 3 and go for accuracy very often, however it doesn't seem to be paying off. You can tell by my scores 14-17.
@2543 @2543.hopkins In all honesty it's not that I really dread the RC section nor the content, it just comes to answering the questions correctly that I struggle with. That and timing, I rarely finish 3 passages. Boredom isn't too big of a problem, thanks fort the advise though.
142 ---> 157 Average last 5 tests. Now that I see the time spent from everyone, I see I have a long ways to go. That was with 3 months time about 20 hours a week.
Everyone,
I've practiced every part of the test but the one section that fails to improve is RC. As a result, it prevents me frm getting the scores I want. I've tried annotating, using the memorization method, doing 3 sections for accuracy, but nothing seems to help it improve. I'm currently seeing 14-17 correct in that section. Pretty far off from the rest of my test. Does anyone have any suggestions or did they start doing something that just made it click for them? I've also been working through the Manhattan RC book but I'm not seeing any improvements as a result. I'm willing to put any amount of effort or time in to achieve it.
Thank you.
@974 i apologize for that, I mistakenly tagged you
@2543.hopkins True however it implies easily attainable when you go on to say "The tough part comes when..."
Thank you @licknee10505 for actual suggestions, people like me who suffer from learning disabilities aren't as gifted as some might think. Hopefully mentors in the future won't be so ignorant
@2543.hopkins @974 in my opinion you should try to be less ignorant in saying what's easily attainable for different students. I highly doubt every single student studying for the LSAT can attain the 160 range from just this course.
any advice for getting out of the mid 150's? My last 4 PT's have been 155-156, with a highest of 157. My LR average is 15-19, LG average 17-20, RC average 15-17. Was there anything you guys did differently that pushed you into 160's?
@mes08820 a chocolate chip cliff bar. They're the best kind lol and banana is a good idea too, both raise blood sugar
@igbodoe249 im 5 points from where I want to be
Basic question: How many PT's should I be doing every week when I'm about 4 weeks out from the test?
Background: I am taking the in class Nathan Fox LSAT class, which goes from May 12th to June 3rd. The class advocates blind reviewing as well as the fundamentals of 7Sage, so I know there most likely won't be a problem there. His class, however, has us taking 1 PT a week. Should I add more into the mix or just review?
@stoneskegrud319 i think by all them, people mean all of them. If not, I would say as many as you possibly can. 2-4 a week depending on your rate of study.
@2543.hopkins True, but I would still hold that there is some correlation between score jumps. i.e. if someone took 5 weeks to get from 150 to 155, they can't possibly expect to be in the 160's in 2 weeks. (Hypothetical)
It's definitely possible, just put in the time. Take 2 PT's every week until the test
What's your current PT scores/ goal
You can base it off of the time it took you to see other improvements. How long did it take you to go from 150 to 154? If it was 4 PT's or less I think you should have time to get to 160. Just take 2-3 PT's a week and review them
It's so frustrating because part of me thinks the babbling babies question was in my first LR, I had LR RC LR LR LG, but I'm almost certain based off other questions that LR1 was my experimental. I guess I'll have to wait and see. Something tells me this is gonna be a -12 scale for 170, although -14 would be great lol
