Hello 7Sagers.

I'm a current 1L student taking the regular curriculum, including legal reading, research, and writing. However, my course is taught poorly, I'm not learning as much as I would like, and I would like to drop my LRRW course.

Is there any other school which would permit me to enroll only in LRRW while remaining at my current law school, such that I could transfer my LRRW credits from that school to my own? Obviously, the course would have to be offered online.

Thanks in advance.

Pardon me. Does "foolproofing" basically mean redoing LGs over and over till you perfect them? Or what?

Buying a used Powerscore book on Amazon.

I was wondering if anyone here has bought used copies of Powerscore books and what the result was. I mean, did it arrive all marked up inside or was were you able to save money without sacrifice in quality? I would think that having answers penciled in already would detract from the benefits of the practice sections. A new book is rather expensive though.

Thank you for what sounds like very knowledgeable advice. But suppose I'm not testing at my target range by November, am I hurting myself by taking the test anyway, then retaking later? Or would I be best to just put it off for now till I've got a good chance at my target score?

January is late for this admissions cycle and March is REALLY late. I think that it sounds like postponing would be your best option, but you need to understand that that would probably mean delaying law school for a year, especially for "competitive" schools.

Another option is to spend the first year in a less competitive school then apply for transfer. Are there any disadvantages I need to know?

Target score?

Current score range?

What's your definition of "competitive" schools?

Rough estimate of my score yesterday was 162. I would like to get into the 170s. "Competitive" I suppose means a school that would require such a score.

Retaking the LSAT

I'm scheduled to take the November test, but today I am real dissatisfied where I'm scoring. I'm starting to seriously consider the January test. Or .. even the March test? But March seems such a late date for applying for 2019. How much could I expect to raise my score in the 3 months till the January exam or 5 months to March exam?

And if I decide to do this, should I wait to apply to competitive schools only after the second attempt?

Is there a page where these abbreviations are explained (CC, BR)?

[From PT69, Section 1, #20]

"Medical reporter: Studies have consistently found that taking an aspirin Admin note: deleted. copyright issues

"The reasoning in the doctor's argument is most vulnerable to criticism on which of the following grounds?"

So which is it, medical reporter or doctor?

Can it be the tests are created by human beings? Nah, probably just a glitch in the matrix.

PT42 error??

Practice Test 42, Question 19 doesn't seem to offer any correct answer choice. (Please someone correct me.) The correct answer is supposed to be A.

For example, major, GPA, rank?

Schools have our transcripts anyway. And I believe I was told by one law school admissions office that it didn't matter to them. But do any schools penalize you for not filling this section out in full? I don't have my transcripts in front of me and don't remember my GPA or have any clue as to my rank in my class.

Thank you. I think I'm going to follow your advice.

I've just learned that if you indicate you are scheduled to take a future LSAT, then Boston University will not begin to consider your application till that score is in, even if you already have a previous LSAT score. For the January test, this puts your application on hold till late February.

BU's median score is a 166, and my current score is 164. Should I ask them to consider my application now with the 164? Or, what anticipated score would be worth holding off on the application for?

I'm looking for an easy fix for a problem I've encountered numerous times. While I'm sketching and contemplating possibilities to a specific question in a logic game and then look back to compare answer choices, I later realize that I'm referring to the wrong-number question. The answer choices often look so similar from one question to the next that it can take a while to realize I've made this mistake. Has anyone else encountered this dilemma, and how did you deal with it?

Powerscore says: "Weaken questions often yield strong prephrases. Be sure to actively

consider the range of possible answers before proceeding to the

answer choices."
