9 am EST I believe. I might be wrong regarding the time zone
Correct
That is a tough one. I would say just read your sample and decide if you think it is a fair representation of your writing. If it is, I would keep it. I wouldn’t worry at all about the typo, law schools understand that it is rushed and not a polished product. Additionally, you might consider keeping it and submitting an addendum with your applications if you think it’s necessary. So sorry that this happened to you, LSAT Writing is a total mess right now. They have some serious work to do.

I took my writing section September 1st and they just told me yesterday that it was cancelled because my ID wasn't in focus. Waited on the phone for an hour to have a 3 minute convo letting me know there's nothing I can do but retake. Here's an example of the worst possible writing scenario, in case anyone wants to feel better about their approved sections. No idea why it took almost 3 weeks to tell me this.
I read on another forum (can't remember which one), that this happened to someone else. They called back again and spoke to another person at LSAC who let them send in a photo of the ID. There is no reason the photo needs to be captured on test day. A valid ID shows that you are who you claim to be. If I were you I would call back and not take no for an answer, ask for a manager, do what it takes. Other people have been allowed to send in a picture of their ID, so should you be.
I sent a photo of my ID via email after being advised to do so on the phone. That was almost 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard back from anyone. I hope they change this rule regarding the writing sample for future test takers.
I am so sorry! That is terrible! Such a silly reason for a canceled section. Will they at least expedite processing if you write again? People need to know their scores... testing dates and registration deadlines are coming up fast.
If you are still waiting you are not alone! Took it on Sep 3rd... nothing yet.
update: writing sample approved, email received at 2:00 am this morning.

I think it helps a lot. It lets you see how far you have come.
Took it September 3rd. Still waiting on results.
I am in a very similar position. My plan is to study hard between now and the end of the month to make my August score better if I can. Then I will hopefully have a decent score locked in. However, I still plan on taking the October test to give myself another crack at it if my August score is not over 175. From what I have read and heard, for most schools as long as your application is in before December it will still be considered early. I don't think one month wait for October will hurt us at all as long as we can get our applications in before the end of November.
Good Luck!
First, I wouldn't worry if you have to re-read some things. This is natural. The wording is sometimes confusing and takes two reads to gain understanding. It is really good that you are recognizing that you don't understand a passage and subsequently re-reading! This shows that you have the comprehension and focus to recognize your own understanding of the text!
In regards to maintaining focus I have several tips that helped me. Go slowly. Though this may seem counter-intuitive, if you go slow enough to garner understanding it will cut down on re-reading and increase understanding, ultimate leading to faster tests speeds. Deep breathing techniques also helped me to calm my nerves while testing. This resulted in less non-relevant and distracting thoughts during the exam, in turn, increasing my understanding, focus, speed, and accuracy.
I agree with Can't Get Right. Study strategies should not be different for the most part. You still need equal mastery in each topic. The only exception I would mention is one that personally applied to me. As I got closer to the LSAT (I took the August Flex) my LG was strong, from -0 to -1. My LR was also strong, -0 to -2. However, I was still getting -3 or -4 frequently on the RC sections. Because of this, and its increase from 1/4 to 1/3 of the exam for the flex I shifted my studies to a more RC heavy regiment. I even started taking Flex practice tests almost exclusively. This allowed me to take more practice tests in a week and thus get more RC sections under my belt in the available time.
Ultimately, I would only change strategies if you are less than a month from the exam and find RC to be your worst section consistently.
Wow! What a confusingly convoluted sentence! The bold section is giving two examples of the previously mentioned "notional possession". I would translate it as follows;
...through one of two ways. First, possession through another with whom the possessor has an association. For example, the possessor's father was in care of the possession. Second, there was a gap in possession.
Does that make sense?

I had LR-LG-RC. LR seemed really hard to me for some reason, and this is usually a strong section for me. LG was okay; the first few seemed easy but I think I missed a few on the last game (all I remember is printing/verifying and a super easy sequencing game being the first one). RC was okay. I had the honeybees passage last, which I'm sure I missed a couple on bc I ran out of time, and I also had patriotism, jury cases, and another one I'm blanking on. I usually PT mid 160's with an occasional lower 170 and am really curious what the curve will be. I really wanted to land around a 170 but I really have no gut feeling on how I did.
I think I had the exact same exam as you, at least for LG and RC! And I'm in the same score range as you :) Fingers crossed for both of us, I also feel like I have no idea what score I could predict for myself this time — could have gone really well or unexpectedly poorly.
@ I just listened to the LSAT Powerscore podcast and if you had the same exam as me, it was the hardest combo available and they're estimating the curve will be higher to accommodate (-10 missed to equate to 170, vs the usual baseline -7) CC: @
Thank you so much for this!!! This podcast elucidated my exam more than I could have hoped!
Sounds awesome!
