Feeling Screwed

I have been studying for about 6 months, went from a 153 diagnostic to a 168 preptest before the August test. I scored a 160 in April and then a 161 in august and I'm just at a loss for how little it feels like all the work I've put in has materialized in the official test. Feeling completely dejected as I'm only applying to NYC schools where I live and this doesn't really cut it for most schools here. I'm also blind reviewing around 179-180 on most prep tests.
