Hi, I would really recommend taking a 150's PT, then sorting your wrong answers by 'incorrect first' and see if you can find any patterns. Start drilling like that like your life depends on it!!!
If it's not too late to purchase score preview, I'd do that and cancel it!
had to ask chat for help as to why B is wrong, here's what it said! helped me so much:
Argument recap:
Shakespeare probably didn’t know Greek.
The Winter’s Tale is based on Alcestis.
Therefore, he most likely knew Alcestis through a Latin translation.
Now look at (B):
“The only English language version of Alcestis available in Shakespeare’s time differed drastically from the original in ways The Winter’s Tale does not.”
What that tells us is:
There was an English version available.
But it was too different from the original to have been Shakespeare’s source.
Since The Winter’s Tale resembles the original Alcestis closely, it suggests he didn’t use that English version.
That effectively eliminates English as a possible source, which makes the Latin translation the most likely route by process of elimination.
So instead of weakening, (B) strengthens the argument — it narrows the possibilities down to the Latin translation.
Hi! I used to use an Excel sheet where i copied and pasted each question stem and stimulus / answer i chose and why its wrong / answer thats correct and why its correct but honestly it didn't help me much! I still keep a WAJ but a little differently. I have a notebook where I handwrite for example: "PT152/S2/Q23 - Necessary Assumption" then I basically rewrite the stim in my own words, then explain the correct answer and why its correct and why the answer I chose is wrong! I felt like this version of review was more active for me
the fact that the wrong answer was chosen more frequently than the right answer speaks volumes. anticipating subsequent developments in the arts is not anticipating later artists......? if it said arts then ok I'd eliminate it as well. question E is described in the passage and contains an example - even though he didnt necessarily agree. LSAC should've rewritten the stimulus or the answer choices because this is absurd.
What I started doing that helped A LOT was drilling, then reviewing each wrong answer and watching the explanation video for each one, and taking notes on it. Other versions of WAJ didn't help but I found this the most useful!!!
is it just me or do all the AC's require some degree of assumption.
Genuinely don't understand how it is not C. They both say they're not surprised it failed because it lacked indoor seating/lacking indoor seating causes business to be more likely to fail. So remove whatever they are lacking. So add in the indoor seating, and we would not be in this situation... then what would they even agree on at that point?
I like it, it surprises me that I usually predict exactly my score!
