Hi! If you're scoring in the 170s in PTs in the 40s through 60s but your score drops to mid to higher 160s in the 70s and 80s would the latter be more reflective of your potential score for the real lsat? If you experienced a score slump in the more recent PTs which sections were you getting most wrong in? and what did you do to improve? Is it useful to practice with earlier PTs if the recent lsats are modeled more on 70s and 80s?

OMG Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
Hi! Can any one explain how they approached this parallel flaw question about perception? JY tries mapping but it would take me a long time to do and I am trying to see if there's something about the structure of the stimulus that can be used to get to the answer choice. Any explanation would be really helpful!!

Hi! I am very interested!! I am fine with any platform!
Hi! does anyone have any idea about how 7sage scores 3 sections and if that's reliable?
For example I took PT85 now and have -1(RC), 0 (LG), -6 (LR 1st section), -6 (LR 2nd section), missed questions is 4 sections which gets me a score of 168 (4 sections calculated), but if I get rid of one of the LR sections from being scored (switching to flex mode/only 3 sections for scoring) it shows up as 172.
Does anyone have any recommendations for scoring 3 sections while practicing with 4 sections?
interested as well!
Interested!! Thanks so much for doing this!
Before getting to d, JY draws causation from correlation, can some one please explain why that is okay to do for this question?

Interested! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!!
Congratulations!!!!! This is amazing!!! All the best with next application decisions and exciting law school journey ahead!
Congrats!! Please share any study/test suggestions!!
@ thanks so much for writing this post. I came to this thread feeling disappointed about the test. This is my first official test. Had severe anxiety, couldn't sleep at all thinking about the test, and took the test feeling like a zombie, but I am glad that I was able to sit through the test without breaking. Thanks for the push!
Hi! I am looking for a few folks in the Cambridge, Massachusetts area to study together in person for the August test. I am currently travelling but will be back in the area on July 27th. I am usually free after 5pm, some weekday mornings/afternoons, and weekends. I usually study at the Harvard coop bookstore, cafes in the area or yards on Harvard's campus. This year has been difficult for many people for a variety of reasons and I have had my personal struggles. I love online study groups, but I think I need more accountability/support in the last two weeks. If you're taking the test and would like to work together, please let me know! I am currently scoring within the 168-173 score range, with RC being my weakest section, but I am happy to work on other sections as well!
interested as well, rc is my weakest section
Is there a next session? if so, then when, would love to join
Hi! I am taking the august test using LSAC's loaner tablet. Does anyone have experience taking the test with it? It can both stand or just rest on the table, does the proctor care in terms of how we set it up? I am wondering how the proctor will see me if it's resting on the table. Also can we use ctrl f on this device?
also my ugpa is below medians for all schools I am looking at
Disappointed with score from Aug test, scored 10 points lower than PT average and depleted all recent PTs from 60-89. Just for some context: my cumulation upga is 3.7 (poli sci & econ double majors) from a liberal arts school and am currently getting a master's in ed policy from a top school and have 4 years of professional experience in international development, law, research work. I am trying to apply to t-14 schools. Would you recommend cancelling this score through the score preview option for first time test takers? Also went through a lot of life-altering events in the past couples of months - death and divorce in the family and minimal support system+ mental health issues so I am happy to be able to take the test for the first time amidst all that. Not complaining about getting a 162, I started with a 142 and English is my third language, so I made progress. Just trying to figure out what next possible steps should be if I am trying to apply to t-14 schools. I want to do international human rights law so schools with international recognition and good human rights law clinics are important for me. I am lost, also sad, so any recommendations from the amazing community here is appreciated.
Hey! working full time and grad school in the east coast as well and would love to study together. Interested as well!!
interested!
This is what I did during my test in Aug. Use bathroom, take a few bites of chocolate, drink a couple of sips of water, close eyes and do breathing exercise.
Hi community! I am taking the November test and looking for accountability/BR partner. Currently scoring in the mid 160s and am trying to get close to 170 -- might be an unrealistic/ambitious goal as test date is close. LR/RC are my weaker sections, they alternate depending on the test, LG is 0 to -2. I am in the east coast and currently working + doing a masters, but I can be flexible during evening time/weekends. My goal is to take and BR at least 2 PTs a week and also go over LR fundamentals/basics and practice them with one or two study partners. Please let me know if you'd like to work together or have any tips for test takers struggling with LR (LR was -7 to -9 but brought it down to -4 to -5 after going through Loophole, but since then no improvement)!
Hi Community! I am looking for one or two dedicated, down to earth, and sincere study partners to work with for the January test (first-time). I am interested in working through the PTs/section and really take time to understand missed questions/build foundations and have a thorough review/understanding of the method/process of getting to the right answer before moving on to new PTs. I am currently scoring in mid-160s and would like to get to higher 160s or low 170s by January test date. My goal is to cover at least 2 PTs every week but will slow down if I am missing more questions. I am currently working full time and doing a masters but I can be available during evenings and weekends. Please inbox/respond if you are interested!
Hi there! I am looking for a study/accountability partner too and am taking the Jan test (first time). I am scoring in the mid 160s and currently working+doing a masters but I can be flexible in the evenings and weekends
Congrats!!!!
For LR and RC (especially with LR) when I go back and forth between two answer choices I always end up picking the wrong one. In my BR I can come up with all the reasons for picking the wrong one and not the other (right) answer choice. Can someone please share what they do when they are going back and forth between the right answer choice and the second best answer choice? I have tried going back to the stimulus, doing grammar analysis, locating referential phrases, identifying the gap between the premise and the conclusion, analyzing why I didn't pick the right answer choice. But I still end up picking the wrong one timed (and also sometimes during BR). Any suggestion would be really helpful!!
Anxious, mildly depressed, dont want to take this test again. LG was my strongest section but the section didnt go well for me during the test. I keep playing multiple scenarios in my head. Aug was my first time taking the official test. I wanted to start studying for the test again but I am exhausted, depleted. Also the medians going up this cycle makes me more anxious.
thank you so much for doing this! Just wanted to clarify if the session in on the 7th or 8th
Thank you! this is all very helpful!
Hi all! I am really struggling with RC and am missing 5 to 10 questions in the section and need to strategize better. Does any one have any recommendations for improving? There was a very comprehensive post made by someone on RC strategies a few months ago but I cant find it. I mostly struggle with hard art history passages, and then science passages but usually the questions in the science passages are easier even when the passage might be harder to read. Do you recommend using any additional resources? and if you have used additional resources then when did you start seeing improvement? how long did you work on the RC section before seeing any improvement? any advice or suggestions will be really helpful!!
I am in the exactly same position, scoring in the mid-160s, gpa not bad but not great either, also I am getting a masters+working. I just changed the test date from nov to jan because i need higher score and wouldnt apply this cycle anyway (especially with a low score). I also felt that I can use december break for focused study. If you are not applying this cycle it might make more sense to delay and keep studying for the jan test.
