Advice for Inconsistency on PT Performances

Hello Sages,

I just joined the community quite recently and this is my first post. That being said, I had been PTing using the practice tests from the 40s to the 70s, with just a few more new ones available and with some of them done more than once. I found I have been very inconsistent in the scores I get. I can get low 170s and on the next one go down to low 160s, and when I get low 160s I often bomb different sections, sometimes RC and sometimes LG. Anyone had similar situations? What would be a good way to become more consistent. I registered for the December test, and I'm planning to apply next year. What should I do before the test at this stage. Any advice from you Sages would be greatly appreciated!

Question about ED @(Gtown and NU)

Hello Sages,

I just had a quick thought/question about doing the early decision programs, particularly for Gtown and NU. I am probably going to ED for both or one of the schools as they are my top two choices. My June LSAT score is just below the median at both schools, so I think ED will be advantageous, right? Although I am going to retake in September, I doubt if it's going to be a drastic increase. I noticed that for NU, their website states they do not allow students to apply ED at any other schools, but Gtown has no such rules. Thus, my question is can I apply ED at Gtown before or after applying to NU, if I get rejected at one school before applying to the other? Will they know if I have applied? Has anyone done it before? Anyone in similar situations?

Thanks and good luck to everyone. Happy LSATs!

Is It Worthy to Take a Semester off for the LSAT?

Hi guys,

So I'm thinking about taking a semester off for the June LSAT. Do you guys think it is worthy or necessary?

Currently I'm a third year in college in a quite demanding program and I had a hard time juggling between the LSAT and school work last semester. I did spend as much time to prep as I could last semester and scored a low 160s in the December test. I really want to aim for 170+ for June and I think it's much more possible taking some time just to prepare for it...Anyone else did that for the LSAT?

Any suggestions for test prep or time management advice would also be helpful. Thanks.
