For Q18 answer choice E, isn't there support from line 33-34 which says "no known peptide was able to bind to semiconductor materials"? To me that indicates previous researchers have tested peptides with other semiconductor materials, because how would you know that it doesn't work if you didn't try it??
omg had to solve this using actual math (I'm an art history major, haven't touched any math for 4 years)
say 1990's tally = 50
say 1991's tally = 30, while mined = x, consumed = y
because the leftover 50 from 1990 carries over and is still included in the total number, we can write it out like this:
50 + x - y = 30
x - y = -20
y = x + 20
so y (consumed) is apparently a number larger than x (mined)
Help!
For B, since it didn't specify which conclusion was contradicted, can't it be interpreted as [the conclusion that a language native to NA can't satisfy the school requirement] is contradicted by [the evidence that there are other languages native to NA are being used]?
I am getting so PARANOID. I had to overthink this after getting "hard" questions wrong.
I thought A was problematic because the stim says "thorough understanding" and" less emphasis", but A simply says "an understanding". So maybe originally you had to take 10 core classes to get a thorough understanding, but now with less emphasis, you take 1 core class, but you still have some level of understanding.
i hate this methodology of translating things into mathematical equations... also this interpreter is kind of bad at explaining
I've been doing 5-question drills instead of 10 and I do them while working my desk job so it doesn't feel repetitive

still don't understand why the "significant" is required. In many other questions JY negated it by saying other degrees would also work
can sometime tell me WHY SOMETIMES details like adjectives don't matter, but sometimes that's where the trap is??
Like I ruled out A because it limits to [high traffic areas]. Because in another question I missed because there was an adjective that shouldn't have been there. But here we are gonna act like high traffic areas is all there is???

as a 170er i picked E. but i had a legitmate reasoning...
argument assumes descendants are snobbery bc conclusion says they are snobbery...
bruhh i thought normal appearing meant like a common insect as opposed to a super rare one
I was in a similar situation, after averaging 165 I got a 172, but the next one was 168. I also thought maybe 172 was just luck, maybe 165-168 is where I'm at.
But I want to tell you the cliche that YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. If I can do it once, I CAN DO IT AGAIN. I find that subconscious suggestions really influences my performance - my ability to think and judgement.
