Do you have a specific quizlet you used for common flaws? If so, do you mind sharing?

Do you have any recommendations/tips in regards to applications? Did you negotiate your scholarship?

Quick Translation Help

It might be the lack of coffee, or alternatively the 8 hrs of study so far, but for some reason I am having trouble translating this sentence.

(The tariff classification of an item should depend primarily on how the item is marketed)

I am translating it as.... tariff classification ---> How Item is marketed..

This is wrong though since I missed this question. It appears the correct translation is

How item is marketed----> tariff classification

I am utterly confused.. Please help.

Serious Study buddy 165+

Greetings,

I am seeking a serious study partner for the January LSAT. I know there have been several posts about study buddy, however as a high school teacher, I understand that certain peoples learning styles do not correspond with others. So I would like to give a little background about myself, as well as how I study, so I can find a compatible partner. I have been studying for the LSAT for a year and a half now, on and off in the beginning, however rigorously since February. I initially took the LSAT in January and scored a 149 (pathetic, trust me, i know). I decided to purchase 7 Sage afterwards and really commit to this test (best decision I made). I have completed the CC curriculum, take every practice set for LR problems (yes I know there are over 20 problem sets for flaw and I have done them all), read Loophole by Ellen Cassidy, and taken over 30 PT's. I misused a lot of the PT's in the beginning by using the 80's for drilling since my rational was to take the March LSAT, however I severely underestimated this test in the beginning stages of my studies. I work FT as a high school teacher, however I still study approximately 5-6 hours per day (3 hrs in the morning and 3 hours after work, plus Saturday and Sunday). I approach this test in a very methodical way and follow the CC to a T. I ALWAYS am trying to understand the central logic of the stimulus and right/wrong answer choices. For example, I once spent over an hour on a really tough necessary assumption because I did not understand it and I was too stubborn to move on without fully grasping the reasoning behind the answer. The reason I mention this is because I know there are a lot of people out there who have skimmed through the CC or completed some of the problem sets, using mainly their intuition when approaching questions. If that is your style, great, however we will not get the most out of each other, and it's probably best you find someone who thinks/rationalizes the way you do. I would like to meet at least 2 times per week to BR LR and RC. We can choose PT's to take on our own and then come together to BR the answers and bounce ideas/concepts off one another. Also, this is very important, I would like to focus STRICTLY on LR and RC. I have masted LG already and I do not want to waste time on that section. Plus, I have learned that the foolproof method is better than any expensive tutor or study partner.

If you think you we would be a compatible match for the next 2 months, please send me a message and include a little history about your experience with he LSAT.

Score averages-

LR -2/-4

LG -0/-1

RC -6/-10

Thanks,

Z

Thank you for a timely response. So you recommend contacting an adviser from a particular law school as opposed to the admission council team? Also, do those advisers has access to your application, and would they be willing to provide recommendations?

I have the same concern. Scored a 166 while the school I am applying to has a median of 167. Do I wait to apply after retaking the LSAT in November and risk having them already accepted a lot of students, or apply early with the risk of being denied before I submit my November score.

Thank you all. Greatly appreciated!

Hey there!

My question is in regards to early decision. After looking at the law school predictor, I was hoping to gain some insight into when it would be a good idea to apply for ED. Some of the schools in am interested in, based on my LSAT(163) and GPA (3.44), have me at a 85 percent chance of getting into the school. Is that too high of a percentage to apply for ED? I don't want to forgo any scholarship money by applying ED, but I also want to get into that particular school. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

I am certainly interested. I have summers off, so I study full time during the weekday (6am-5pm) and would be eager to BR with someone. I would prefer to focus on LR and RC and skip LG. I've been studying for a little under a year and have realized that there is nothing better than fool-proofing. If LG is your main focus, perhaps you should fine someone else, otherwise I would love to focus on LR and RC. If anyone has read Loop Hole by Ellen Cassidy that would be helpful too, since I implement her strategies during my review.

LR (Avg -3) Not because of incorrect answers, but rather run out of time.

RC (Avg. -5) Same thing, run out of time in the last passage and speed through it.

You can not bring in earplugs. I requested to wear them and they denied it.

Is the recorded version available?

I'm sure this has been addressed already, however I have a few questions in regards to ED that I would appreciate some feedback from.

First, Just to be clear, you can only ED for ONE school, correct?

Second, should you apply ED before you take the test?

-In other words, do you have an advantage of applying early in the ED cycle, or is it irrelevant to schools as long as it's within the deadline.

Third, how low is too low for ED? (MAIN QUESTION)

  • My GPA is .2 below the medium and my LSAT is 3 below the medium. My chances right now according to 7 sage are 63%. Is that too low to use my ED on? Does any one have a good rule of thumb, in terms of percentage, when it's too low of a chance to use my ED on?
