I’ve had similar experiences with many other questions, though not with this one in particular. I think this is at least one of the barriers in professions like academia or law that prevents people from entering. I’m not sure about the normative status of such barriers, but there’s nothing I can do to change them without first getting into these professions. So, the point is, I understand how you feel, and I’m suspicious too, but we have to get the work done before we can do anything about it.

If we have the same question about intriguing person, then A is actually one of the premise that’s used to justify the conclusion. The first sentence is a conditional, if intriguing, then curiosity. The main conclusion is if X, then curiosity. The last sentence states that if X, then intriguing. So the main conclusion follows from the first and the last sentence.
