I think I would first think of the sentence as "Only the most virtuous deserve praise" which would then translate to = DP -> MV

#help Still don't get why E doesn't work - even tho the party didnt account for "the biggest" decrease, isnt there still a possibility to argue that they were indeed responsible for the 96-04 time frame? (I mean A is pretty bad but I cant seem to eliminate E confidently)

I dont understand how D can mean: "with patents we are more profitable". The lawgic of AC D (at least how i understood it) is patent -> less profit, and the contrapositive would be less profit ->patent. How does that allow is to say "with patents we are more profitable"? Obv common sense tells me it's logical but dang im struggling with this question.

I guess the idea of right and wrong are binary cuts here? I was struggling with this question so i just chose B because "not right=wrong" seemed off to me..

For me using the group 3 logic rule made this much easier!

(Either) A or B = /A ->B

ew->pc and (altho) ur = ew ->pc and ew->ar

ur->id

/id

/id->/ur->/ew

A: /ew->id (completely contradicts rule)

B: ur->pc (CBT)

C: ew->id (CBT)

D: /ew->pc (CBT)

E: /ur->/ew (MBT)

Hope this doesn't have logical fallacies - if so please correct me!

So basically in order for the O18 to remain rare while a higher proportion of it falling down, there should be more O than O18? Did i understand that right?

Truth be told I don't understand what "remained fairly constant" is supposed to mean.. Im just not following JY's explanation here or anyone else's in the recent comments bc i cant seem to figure out what staying constant is referring to.. #help

thats exactly how i thought of it too- im guessing if C stated "most" it wouldve had a better chance of being the correct choice but idk..

A is saying that there actually exists an end whose value may (will) justify any (every) means.

“there is no end whose value will justify every means” is saying there is no such end; altho to be exact the text adds "perhaps". That's why JY says this could be an answer to MBF (must be false) because if A were true, then it would contradict the text (“there is no end whose value will justify every means”)
