Negotiating Scholarships

Hi everyone:

Hoping to get some advice on negotiating scholarship offer. Has anyone had success?

Even with money offered, these schools are crazy expensive!

No personal experience negotiating law school scholarships, but I've read an effective strategy is to pin schools against each other. For example, if NYU offers you a $39k scholarship and Duke a $65k scholarship, you can notify NYU of your Duke scholarship and ask them to match it.

Each situation and school is a bit different in how they handle negotiations so I'd research a bit more on the schools.
