I don't know if this is funny enough, but here's an analogy that occurred to me while I was driving and sipping Jamba Juice's Aloha Pineapple the other day:
Applying to law schools is similar to being on one's own deathbed. We all become exceedingly conscious of our past; those of us who strayed from the straight and narrow at least once (and were accordingly punished) tremble at the thought of retribution. The past notwithstanding, we don't know what's about to come. Moreover, the process can last unnecessarily long, to the point some might beg for a coup de grâce (which I believe was quite common during this past cycle).

LOL that just made me laugh because I drilled today for the first time since I'm nearing the end of the CC and felt the same way.
