Is it ever possible that your personal statement/ diversity statement leads admissions to consider you URM even if you are not part of the categories they mention as being URM?

People right diversity statements about all different things not just race or gender. I think a diversity statement's point is what will you bring to the classroom.
I am not sure what you are asking here. An underrepresented minority is an individual who is a member of an underrepresented ethnic or racial group. If you are asking whether they can see from your personal statement that you are a diverse addition to the class, then the answer is yes. But you can't be seen as a URM unless racially or ethnically you are a member of an underrepresented group.
