Can someone explain why the answer choice is B?

Let's key in on what the stimulus is about: all animal species, or all mammalian species? The first sentence makes clear it is about the latter, so it is important to note that the only thing we have information about is mammalian species.

This is why the stimulus does not support B at all. B is about nonmammalian species, and we don't know anything about them, so it is the answer that is least supported.
