Greetings,
I have a 4.2 LSAC GPA and a 163 LSAT. Evidently, I am an extreme example of a reverse-splitter, and I am unsure if I should write an addendum letter at all. I am currently applying to uPenn Carey Law, which I have heard favours splitters to some extent. If anyone has any advice, feel free to reply.

For a place like uPenn with a 170+ median LSAT, I'd imagine an addendum is in order. If you don't think your LSAT score reflects your true abilities, you may want to point that out. With a GPA as high as yours perhaps you could leverage it, along with any soft factors you have that you believe show your potential. When applying to schools where your LSAT is above or around their median I'm not sure that you need an addendum, however.
Disclaimer: I'm not an admissions consultant and I'm just responding from gut feeling. Definitely seek out other opinions.
Pump up them LSAT numbers.
