PrepTest B - Section 1 - Question 18

I got trapped in the cookie cutter AC A , misread it. My reasoning was fine, we need to make a subtle assumption that because the intended function of news is to give us information on which to act, news that primarily entertain does not serve its intended function, and thats given to us in AC D

A is wrong because of the lack of the word "primarily". News can still serve its intended function and be entertaining, it just can't be PRIMARILY entertaining and subsequently lose its intended function. We need something that says that news that is PRIMARILY entertaining can't serve its original primary function, which is to make us act. AC D does this.

This question is a bit tricky because of the use of the word. They LSAT writers are trying to make you assume that because the primary function of news is to give us info on which to act on, that news can't also be entertaining as well.
