Logic game rules: as many adj/n as

Hello 7sages,

I'm confused about such rules as shown in the title, and I will use some of the examples from the PTs

(Spoiler Alert)




1. Exactly twice as many of the film buffs see the Hitchcock film as see the Fellini film

2. At least many French novels as Russian novels are selected.

3. At least twice as many roses as orchids must be used.

I'm quite confused which one is more, hope you can give me some advice, thank you!

Hello Jason!

1. If there are 2 F's, there will be 4 H's. 1 F, then 2 H's.
2. If there's 1 R, there will be 1 or more F's. 2 R's, then 2 or more F's.
3. If there's 1 O, there will be 2 or more R's. 2 O's, then 4 or more R's.

At least as many ____ as ____. The first variable will have the same amount or more than the second variable.

Exactly twice as many ____ as ____. The first variable will have twice the amount of the second variable.

Micaela is spot on in her explanation. These rules are very important to understand because when you combine them with the number of slots and elements it usually heavily restricts the game boards. Mathematical distribution inferences can be the keys to many games and can drastically cut down on the amount of work that needs to be done.
