Letters of Recommendation Question

Do the writers for the letters have to make them specific to each school we apply to or do we tell them to write it in general so it is good for all the schools?

    100% your call.

When you assign them on LSAC you have to give them notes. For instance you could get one LOR that you want for all schools and give it the note that says "For All Law Schools". If you have one targeted to a school you can write "For Duke".

That way you don't get them confused.

Then it is really up to you. Just make sure you inform your recommender if you plan on using it for all schools so they don't address a single school in the letter.

@LSATcantwin Thanks! Follow up question, do schools care if they are not directly addressed to them?

Nope! I used the same for all the schools and that seems to be the norm!
