After reviewing, I can see why the wrong answer choices are wrong, but I cannot also tell you why C is the right answer. To me is just does not make sense. To me I thought this if anything would strengthen the argument.

If normal air contains X amount of helium-4 and the tested levels of helium-4 in the chamber is also X, it could just be that there was just a normal level of helium-4 in the air to begin with and there was no fusion that took place.
What would strength her argument would be if she tested the air before the experiment and there was no helium-4 in the air. Then after the experiment there was a ton of helium-4, this would show that fusion likely happened as the levels increased from 0 to a ton.
