Law School Admissions Question About Financial Aid/Scholarships

In these hectic cycle, will not needing loans/scholarships give you a boost at all? Basically, if you are lucky enough to have someone to pay for law school full freight, does that give you an advantage? For example a 170 and a 3.7 GPA for a t-14 law school, does that matter at all? My cousin acts like its a huge deal

Admission and scholarship decisions are completely unrelated. You are admitted based upon the strength of your application against other applicants in the cycle. Scholarship and financial aid are just one way to cover your expenses once admitted. It’s not like buying a car or house were an all-cash offer gives you an edge ;)
That being said, I don’t know how competitive a 3.7 with a 170 will be at t14 this cycle, but not needing financial aid will not offer an advantage. A strong application could.
