Can you take the LSAT and apply to law school several years later?

It seems like the LSAT score is valid for 5 years after you take the test.
I'm planning on working for a couple years after I take the LSAT.
It is possible to apply then with the LSAT taken a couple years before right?
I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks in advance!

But what I really want to know is...Can I go to law school and then take the LSAT a few years later? That seems easier.

LOL @nye8870 I took the October test, but I do not plan on starting school until fall of 2018 due to me finishing my military career first. I've worked that into my PS as a way of showing that this is something I've wanted for many years. I.E I took the LSAT years ago, because I knew this is something I wanted to do, and here I am now ready to go basically. (worded much better than that of course...)
