"Few are" means?

As I was reviewing my old notes, I've noticed that I wrote the definition of "few are" as some are/SOME ARE NOT but "few not" as most are/some are not.

Shouldn't "few are" mean some are / MOST ARE NOT?

I can't believe I'm still confused about this concept..wow. English.

    In my notes for "few" I have "some are" "most are not"

    And on my scale I have
    None: 0
    Few: 1-49
    Some: 1-100
    Most: 51-100

    Many = Some

    I also have a note that few is contextual based on sample size, but that's a really early note.
