  They're going to be anal about it. Go onto here https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/passports/FIG_cropper.swf and edit your photo to get an exact fit!

  It didn't work on my Mac but I used Lunapic (http://www196.lunapic.com/editor/) and it worked for me

  There is an option to crop the photo to fit the 2 x 2 frame.

  Is your guys' photo right side up? for some reason mine is sideways but I don't know if that's because of the website or if I should re-upload.

  Don't upload your pic sideways, @hazelnut13. It may be alright but just for precautions, make sure it's shown properly.
