I plateaued around 168 and did PT65 this Wednesday (six sections).

I finally break 170 (this is my 6th PT) and scored 174 (with a BR score 179)!!!!

Here is my breakdown:
-2 LR (BR -2; still haven't figured out "the domesticated animal problem")
-1 LG (BR -0; caught my mistake during PT but did not have enough time to change)
-6 RC (BR -2 still need to work on RC)
-0 LR (my best LR so far!!!! really excited!!)

Do trust yourself (I basically gave up the hope of getting a 170 before September) and the process (it usually took me 1.5 days to finish BR and listen to JY's explanations; i have to admit BR is a painful process) .

I also find using a clean copy to BR a much better method!

Breaking 170 for the first time is an amazing feeling! Congrats!

Also, BR can be somewhat painful, but you're living proof it pays off.

Ty for this post - helping get through that midnight push.

Finishing my first BR. I did 4-5 TM tests last year and did the whole lottery ticket method with no improvement.

BR is not EASY at ALL

Is there a tried-and-true method for BR? Not sure if there's a standard way or everyone does it their own way

I apologize but I have been seeing many people mentioning blind review. I am uncertain what exactly that is.. I'm assuming it is when you take a practice test untimed? Please elaborate what exactly blind review is. Thank you!

Hey @sabeena95, blind review or BR is when you take a regular practice test or section and , after completing it but before looking at the Answers, go through it untimed and just make sure you were correct or incorrect and record your BR AC. Then you look at the answers and you will have 2 scores, your actual timed score and your BR score. Generally, your BR score will signify your theoretical maximum high score fot that test.

BR is crucial bc it gives your brain the ability to look at a question without time restraint, and really analyze your thinking.

@sabeena95 As Nathan said, BR is to take the factor "time" out of the constraints. I will do RC and LG untimed and review LR that I circled during PT.

That is awesome!!! Congratulations. And, thank you for sharing. While studying for this beast of an exam, I can easily lose track and motivation by not seeing any improvement in my score. However, success threads like yours remind me that there exists some hope, and that I should keep doing what I am doing, and perhaps the results of my hard work will be paid off one day. So, thank you and wish you all the best!

OH! I see! Thank you so much for the reply. Of course I agree, BR would definitely be a higher score than the timed exam itself.
