What was your previous score and what is your goal score? I would stop taking untimed tests. If you take them timed and then fully BR them, you can still see what your understanding level is.
Other people will have varying opinions on this, but I really don’t think it’s usually necessary or good to be spending more than three hours a day on the LSAT if it isn’t your main pursuit. Could you maybe do half an hour in the mornings before wor…
By your username, I take it your goal is to score in the 170s? What’s your current PT average (last five or so tests)?
I suspect that many who underperform on test day do so because they failed to stimulate testing conditions accurately in practice…
Was it a bit lower because your PT average is already in the 160s? If this is the case, then I would recommend focusing on test taking anxiety strategies and getting used to taking five section PTs under testing conditions.
If you expected to score…
An untimed PT and especially a PT where a tutor helped you on 5-8 questions is not at all indicative of what you should expect to score. You scored right at your PT average, which is the best you can reasonably hope for. If you can get your true PT …
It’s not exactly the same information. It tells you more about the dollar amounts they tend to give “half to full” is a pretty wide range of money. @"selene.steelman" any insight?
MBT is one of the very few LR question types that I like to notate. If you're having trouble, I would definitely write out the logic. Spending two minutes getting the question right is more valuable than spending one and getting it wrong.
As a test…
If there's one section that you really want to work on and improve, I think it's more than fine to devote a bigger chunk of your time to it, but still brush up on the other sections every day. So let's say you really want to focus on RC for a bit. I…
If you want to retake, I would cancel just for the free retake. If you're not going to retake, I would keep it. Schools might see that you've cancelled and assume that it's because you scored lower than the first time (since they know that we got to…
It's generally accepted by schools as the last LSAT administration. However, I would say that it is too late for maximizing admissions/scholarship chances. I would try really hard to either be ready for November or seriously consider sitting out a c…
First of all, you've improved by twenty points already!! That's no small feat. It sounds like if you put together your best performances in each section on one PT, you'd be at your goal score. When you study, do you prioritize one section over the o…
It sounds like maybe the time constraints of PTs make you nervous/stressed and so you're not using the skills you've developed like you do during BR. I think that this will improve with more time and practice. Maybe try some confidence drills and co…
The two week difference doesn't even mean you'll get admitted to one two weeks earlier. I wouldn't worry about it. If you're ready, then I'd go ahead and apply
I think it's worth it to retake, but only if you get your PT average up. How much time did you spend seriously studying with 7sage? Have you foolproofed games?
Remember that there are new restrictions on how many times you can test. It's honestly a really bad idea to plan on having to retake three more times. It would be much better to just study until you're ready, plan on taking it once more, and then re…
Generally, only your highest score matters. If you have your 156 and then retake and get a much higher score (say 7+ points or something) then some schools will want an explanation for that, but otherwise it doesn't really matter. Now, if you are lo…
If you really aren't interested in the t-14 and just want a full ride at your regional school, I think you're in great shape and there is no reason to retake. You're already way above most of their medians, and it's possible that they would see a re…
If you haven't taken one since July, you could kind of consider July to be your diagnostic. How much are you looking to improve by, and what's your section breakdown?
Don't think of it as starting over. You're not starting from scratch. You're starting from your previous PT. So, whatever your weaknesses were then are still what you should work on now.
They won't be bothered by the 169 if you have a higher score. Right now, you've got about a coin toss chance (according to lsn) at the lower T14. A 173 would give you a solid shot at NYU and Columbia, and a slight chance at HYS and Chicago
I would cancel in this case. To answer @ALEXAN.S yes schools can see that you cancelled. They won't care though. It sounds like you would definitely score higher on a retake.
