I'd say given your timeline you're better off doing Feb/June2016 with October as an emergency fall back. No need to rush your prep if you have another year to apply and aren't where you need to be yet.

Though, I read JY's article the other day about taking a year to master the test, so I wouldn't be so bummed about potentially taking June/2016

A June2016 exam seems more reasonable and would allow me to take a break from the LSAT and get going next January when my final semester course load is light.
If you are not applying this next cycle then take the june2016 test and get your application in early next year. To improve on LR you MUST be doing a thorough blind review. How many fresh PTs do you have to take?
It's two years per take but they count test release date in that time. I took it three times with February 2014 as my first. I would have retaken on Febraury but I am ineligible until the June2016. That's the reason I know.
I'm in Tempe and would love to study with y'all. @stepharizona and I are both prepping for June2016. I work a lot, so my studying happens a little in the evenings and mainly on the weekends. What about you?
I am based in Berlin but I started the 7sage curriculum only very recently. I also registered for June2016 but I might have to change the date. Do let me know if you would like someone to BR with.
