I used the first edition because I got it about a year ago. If I were you, I'd get the 2015 version (though there's certainly nothing wrong with the older one!).
The new ones have clearer writing but my PT average dropped about 2 points compared to the older ones. They all reinforce the same concepts and the difficulty of the old Logic Games are great for prep.
Some people have diagnostics in the 99th percentile, but that is extremely rare and even if you have a 160+ diagnostic on an older test doesn't mean that will translate to success in the 70s. There is no substitute for hard work and dedication.
the schedule I have uses 64-71 for full PTs. I assume the other tests are for drilling and time sections. I want to sign up for 7sage but I don't want to do the newer test first then the older. @ddakjiking @Pacifico @goalis180

Wow! I was sure I was the only person alive heading toward law school at 40. I'm excited to know there are so many of us. Does anybody have a good read on programs that are more receptive to and make a better experience for the older crowd?
I would recommend doing them and using Fool Proof Method. Flexible thinking and making inferences when the setup seems unusual can only help you. You're absolutely correct that the older, "weird" games are reappearing.
