The following four questions require careful attention. Please note the following important information about character and fitness screening.

• In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Standard 504****of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar requires that law schools advise each applicant as follows: In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through theNational Conference of Bar Examiners. You should be aware that any state bar to which you apply will receive a copy of this application. In rare cases, bar candidates, after graduating from law school and passing the bar examination, have been denied admission to the bar on character and fitness grounds.
• Disclosure of the following information is required whether the matter occurred when you were an adult or a juvenile, or in the U.S. or a foreign jurisdiction. For each question in this section, you are advised to first consult transcripts, school records, institutions, court records, police records, or other records before answering to enable you provide the detail required.
• Disclosure of the following information is required irrespective of advice you may have been given, including by legal counsel.

Required Disclosure: At any post-secondary school, including but not limited to any college, professional school, or law school, have you been expelled, suspended, disciplined (academic warning/probation or equivalent), or requested or advised to resign or unenroll. If your answer to either of these questions is "Yes," provide a complete, factually detailed statement of the circumstances surrounding each occurrence, dates and institutions involved (including final determination of each), including school documents.

Additionally, have you been investigated for or accused of cheating, plagiarism, or other academic dishonesty (regardless of whether the record has been sealed, expunged, canceled, or annulled, whether no record was made)? If your answer to either or both of these questions is "Yes," provide a complete, factually detailed statement of the circumstances surrounding each occurrence, dates and institutions involved (including final determination of each), including school documents.

3. Required Disclosure: Are there any charges currently pending against you in any jurisdiction or have you ever been convicted of, or pled guilty (including a deferred sentence) to any violation of law other than minor traffic violations? Additionally, has any record at any time been sealed, expunged, canceled or annulled, regardless of its current state?? If you answered "Yes," to either or both of these questions attach a statement with dates and complete details (what led to the charge, details about the facts before and after the charge, including dates), the specific action and final determination, including court documents.

4. Required Disclosure: Has your license to practice or engage in any profession, occupation, or business ever been suspended or revoked, or have you ever been reprimanded, censured, or otherwise disciplined by the agency that oversees such a license? If you answered "Yes," to either or both of these questions attach a statement with dates and complete details (nature of the charge, details about the facts before and after the charge, including dates), the disposition of the matter, including court documents.

Instructions: Shepard Broad College of Law

NSU Law has a two-year waiting period for applicants who have been academically dismissed from another law school before they may reapply.

1. Application

   • The application must be completed in full and signed. NSU Law does not charge an application fee. The deadline for submission of a completed application is June 15. Applications completed after this date may be considered as class space permits.
   • For priority scholarship consideration applications must be completed by December 15. All scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) Required

   • All Applicants applying to NSU Law must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). NSU Law does not accept any other examinations.

3. Complete the application using the LSAC website:

   • Go to LSAC.org. You must have an LSAC account to complete the application.
   • Select the NSU Law application from the list of ABA-approved law schools.
   • All required supplemental documents may be attached directly to your LSAC application. If you need to submit additional electronic documentation after submitting your application, you may do so by e-mail to law-admissions@nova.edu.

     • Two (2) letters of recommendation are required to be submitted through the LSAC Credential Assembly Service (CAS). We recommend that current college students or recent graduates submit an academic recommendation. Letters of recommendation should attest to the applicant's character and preparedness for law school.
   • Official Transcript(s)
     • Official transcripts from each undergraduate, graduate and professional school you attended must be sent directly to LSAC. This includes any dual enrollment (for example, courses taken during high school at a community college) or registered courses whether completed or not. All candidates must have been awarded a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year institution prior to enrollment.
