The Overall Structure of the Course

Transcript

Hi, everyone. Welcome to your bar prep course. I'm going to walk you through some of the key features of 7Sage's program. If you're taking the bar exam for the first time, I'd start here with orientation. We'll tell you what you can expect and how to make the most of your time.

Let's have a look at the essential facts of the UBE. Speaking of which, the UBE, which stands for the Universal Bar Exam, is split into three sections. You've got the MBE, which is a multiple-choice test, the MEE, which is an essay test, and then finally, the MPT, which is a legal writing task.

Now, because the MBE makes up 50% of your score, and you can see that's the biggest slice, our course starts there. The MBE tests seven core legal subjects, civ pro, con law, contracts, crim, evidence, property, and torts, and that's how our lessons are organized.

So let's go back to the progress page. You'll see here are the crim lessons, the subtopics under crim. You can expand to see the detailed lessons. Then we have crim pro, contracts, evidence, and so on. All of these lessons are on the laws and principles that are most commonly tested on the MBE.

Now, if you're really rusty on the law, you probably just want to move through the lessons in order, you know, to get a refresher. Otherwise, you can just think of this as a reference library. Start doing the MBE questions, which you can find under this tab, and if they reveal holes in your knowledge, then you can refer back here.

Below the MBE section, you'll find the MEE section, and below that, your MPT section.
