The MPT Course
Transcript
Below the MEE class, you'll find a section on the MPT, the Multistate Performance Test. And, immediately, you'll notice that this unit is organized a bit differently. Whereas the preceding units are organized by subject, by content, this one is organized by study week, and that reflects the nature of the MPT.
It's not a knowledge test, you know, you don't have to memorize a thousand rules and exceptions. It's a skill-based test, and so for that reason, we recommend that you spread out your studying, interpolating MPT practice into the rest of your bar prep.
So, for example, you know, maybe week 1, you're looking over the Crim lessons, right? And then maybe on Friday, you come all the way down over here to the MPT and you do the first mini unit. So each weekly mini unit is centered on one real MPT question. This first one has a general introduction to the MPT, but then after that, it resembles the other weekly units.
So let's click into these lessons and see what they're about. With a preview, the professor tells you what to look out for as you read the prompt. Okay, so the prompt is down over here, and we do expect you to do it yourself. You can download it as a PDF, and when you're ready, click Start Timer.
We give you an hour and a half because the MPT is a three-hour exam with two parts, so an hour and a half each. And, you know, you write your answer down over here. When you're done, you click Next, and that's where you get to see the professor step-by-step walk you through this.
You can even see what she wrote herself by clicking this Step 2 over here, Step 3, and if you want to see all of it together, you can just open this, step-by-step, you'll see that it's all of the steps together. And here she created an unofficial point sheet for you to grade yourself. So that's it, that's our MPT course.
